Steem Keychain Mobile — May 2026 Community Curator Application (Games & Apps)

Hello everyone,
I am applying for a Games & Apps Community Curator account for May 2026 to support the development and community adoption of Steem Keychain Mobile — the most modern native mobile wallet being built for the Steem blockchain.
What is Steem Keychain Mobile?
Steem Keychain Mobile is a modern, native mobile wallet for Steem, built from the ground up with React Native and TypeScript. It provides secure key management, full wallet operations, an in-app dApp browser with Keychain bridge integration, and support for all Steem blockchain operations.
The app allows users to:
- Securely manage accounts with AES-256 encryption and biometric authentication
- Send, receive, power up, power down, and delegate STEEM and SBD
- Browse dApps with a full in-app browser and Keychain API bridge
- Vote for witnesses, set proxies, and vote on SPS proposals
- Manage savings with deposit, withdrawal, and cancel support
- Sign transactions for any dApp through the Keychain bridge — supporting every operation type (transfers, votes, custom JSON, delegations, authority management, memo encoding/decoding, and more)
Every feature has been tested on real devices and released to the community with a downloadable APK and demo video.
How Does It Benefit the Steem Platform?
Steem Keychain Mobile directly benefits the Steem ecosystem in several important ways:
Mobile accessibility — Steem lacks a modern, full-featured native mobile wallet. This app fills that gap by giving users a secure wallet on their phones, making it easier for anyone to use Steem on the go.
dApp integration — The in-app browser with Keychain bridge allows users to interact with any Steem dApp directly from their phone, the same way the desktop Keychain extension works. This helps all Steem dApps grow their mobile user base.
Onboarding new users — A polished mobile app on the Google Play Store gives Steem real visibility and credibility. New users expect a mobile-first experience, and this app delivers exactly that.
Open-source commitment — The full codebase will be cleaned, documented, and open-sourced for the Steem community to maintain long-term.
Security — AES-256 encryption, biometric authentication, and secure key storage ensure users' funds and keys are protected.
How a Community Curation Account Would Help
Having a Community Curation account for Steem Keychain Mobile would be extremely valuable for the following reasons:
1. Community Testing & Feedback
The app is currently in advanced beta with 31 releases across 7 completed phases. A curation account would allow me to incentivize and reward community members who actively test the app, report bugs, and provide quality feedback. This direct engagement loop is essential for building a reliable, production-grade wallet.
2. Growing the Tester Community
Right now, testing happens on a small scale. A curation account would help attract more testers from different countries, devices, and use cases — which is critical for a mobile wallet that needs to work everywhere.
3. Supporting Quality Content Around the App
Community members who create tutorials, reviews, how-to guides, and video demos about Steem Keychain Mobile contribute directly to the app's adoption. A curation account would help reward this type of valuable content.
4. Driving Adoption of Steem dApps
Since Steem Keychain Mobile includes a full dApp browser, curating content from users who actively use Steem dApps through the app would encourage broader adoption of the entire Steem ecosystem.
What Has Already Been Delivered
All of this has been built on personal time, with zero funding, over 7 phases and 31 releases:

Every phase has been published with a Steemit post, demo video, and downloadable APK.
Every phase has been published with a Steemit post, demo video, and downloadable APK.
Curation Strategy
The app is designed to be easy to use, and I believe this will naturally encourage many community members to try it and share their experience. Here is the type of content I plan to curate:
User testing and review posts — Community members who download the APK, test the app, and write about their experience. Posts like this review by @michelangelo3 are exactly the kind of content that helps the app grow and improve through real feedback.
Tutorials and how-to guides — Step-by-step guides showing how to use specific features (transfers, delegation, browser, dApp interactions).
Bug reports and feedback — Detailed posts from users who find issues and take the time to document them properly.
dApp usage through the Keychain browser — Posts from users who actively use Steem dApps through the in-app browser (Steemit, SteemPro, games, etc.).
Quality comments — As requested by the Steemit Team, a portion of voting power will be allocated to helpful and constructive comments, especially from users providing feedback or helping others use the app.
I will also look beyond communities and seek out authors posting on their personal blogs, as highlighted in the announcement.
What Is Coming Next
