The Dairy Game: [17/07/2026] ABOUT MY DAY

My day started like every other workday. Since it was Friday, I wore my kaftan and cap, as I usually do for Fridays. I left home my usual time 8:00am with the hope of getting to the office on time, but Lagos traffic had a different plan.

I spent longer than expected on the road, so I got to work a bit late. Thankfully, it wasn't enough to ruin my day, but by the time I settled in, I already had a pile of work waiting for me.

There were documents to process, files to attend to, and several office tasks that needed my attention. Before I knew it, the morning had flown by.

And it was time for Jummat prayer, before heading to the mosque, I took a few minutes to trim my nails. Then I walked down to the mosque, immediately I got there I went straight to the tap

and performed ablution to joined the congregation.

I arrived early enough to sit down and listen to the khutbah before the prayer started. No matter how busy the day gets, that moment always brings a sense of calm and reminds me to slow down and be grateful.

After the prayer, I made my way back to the office. Along the way, I came across a crossbody bag that immediately caught my attention. I stood there for a moment looking at it, and the more I looked, the more I liked it. I decided to get it, and honestly, I don't regret the purchase at all. Sometimes it's nice to treat yourself to something simple.

The rest of the afternoon was spent wrapping up office tasks and making sure everything that needed to be done before the day ends.

It was one of those days that felt long because there was so much to do, but at the same time, it was productive from start to finish.
Looking back, the day had a little bit of everything traffic, work, worship, and even a small personal purchase.

Not every day goes exactly as planned, but I'm grateful everything turned out well in the end.
