Above Us

There is always something stretching beyond what we can reach. It hangs quietly, holding distance without effort. We look up without knowing exactly what we expect to find. Still, something in us responds to its presence.

Clouds move as if they carry thoughts we cannot keep.
Light shifts without asking for attention.
The sky does not explain itself, yet it feels familiar.
It remains, even when we forget to notice.

At night, it deepens into something harder to understand.
Points of light appear without offering direction.
We search for meaning in their stillness.
They give nothing, yet take nothing away.

Above us, everything continues without interruption.
It does not depend on our awareness to exist.
It holds space for questions that have no answers.
And in that space, we remain, looking upward.
