The 30th Anniversary of Regional Autonomy Day Commemoration Proceeded Smoothly and Successfully.
The ceremony commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Regional Autonomy Day (Otda), held by the Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) at the Bireuen Regency Headquarters (Kapuspemkab), proceeded smoothly and solemnly on Monday morning (April 27th).
The Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, as the ceremony inspector, attended by the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), relevant officials, heads of Regional Government Agencies (SKPK), and hundreds of employees. In his remarks, he read a written message from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Muhammad Tito Karnavian, among other things.
The Minister of Home Affairs stated that the commemoration of Regional Autonomy Day is a momentum for all of us to strengthen our commitment and role in providing tangible benefits to the community.
Regional autonomy is an instrument for accelerating equitable development, strengthening public services, and improving the welfare of communities throughout the country.
He also stated that this year's theme, "With Regional Autonomy, We Realize Asta Cita," symbolizes regional independence and responsibility in managing local potential, to collectively realize Asta Cita, which represents the hopes of the Indonesian nation through strong synergy between the central and regional governments.
"Without good coordination, these major goals will not be optimally achieved. Therefore, synchronization between the central and regional governments is key to the success of national development," stated the Minister of Home Affairs.
This synchronization can be achieved through several strategic steps, including: Integration of national and regional planning and budgeting; outcomes-based bureaucratic reform strengthened by integrated digitalization and regional innovation;
Furthermore, strengthening regional fiscal independence; collaboration between regions;
Focusing on basic services and reducing inequality; and strengthening regional stability and resilience, explained Regent Mukhlis.
