During a visit to Banda Aceh the capital of Aceh Province I had the opportunity to visit a café that is well-known among the locals. Although often referred to simply as a warung kopi (coffee shop), this establishment or café, as it is more stylishly known is a relatively new addition to the city. Personally, it was my first time stopping by this café, which is situated in the heart of Banda Aceh an area renowned as the city's largest commercial hub.

Since opening, dKupi Aceh has become a favorite spot for Banda Aceh residents to spend time with family and friends. This spacious café is consistently bustling with patrons eager to enjoy a wide variety of food and beverages. Located in the Keudah district of Banda Aceh, the café was packed with visitors this evening; in fact, there was barely an empty seat or table available for my family.

dKupi Aceh features a modern, open-concept design. From the outside, the café appears expansive and lively, teeming with customers. While the parking area is quite large capable of accommodating dozens of vehicles the sheer volume of visitors tonight made the space feel cramped. Since its opening, the venue has become a local favorite, largely due to its comprehensive menu offering a wide range of food and drinks. Furthermore, the prices are very affordable, catering to people from all walks of life. Visitors can choose whatever appeals to them and enjoy their selections in the dining area with family or friends.

The seating area is spacious, featuring numerous tables neatly arranged beneath a high metal roof that ensures excellent airflow. Consequently, the atmosphere remains cool and comfortable, even when the place is bustling with customers. The space never feels cramped, creating a pleasant environment where one feels inclined to linger. dKupi Aceh hosts a variety of food stalls offering a diverse menu, ranging from Mie Aceh and Mie Bangladesh to goat curry rice, Sate Matang, Ayam Penyet, and Soto. There is also a selection of durian-based treats, dim sum, and many other dishes to enjoy. Tonight, we ordered a cup of kopi pancung, hot Milo, sanger coffee, dim sum, french fries, and special fried rice.

Service at dKupi Aceh is highly satisfactory; staff members are quick and attentive, promptly approaching every customer who enters. Despite the heavy crowd, the quality of service remains consistently high. Staff bring menus to the tables and take orders efficiently. Prices for food and drinks are standard making them affordable for a wide range of customers while the taste is thoroughly satisfying.
