Daily Dairy #186: Homemade Chilled Mango Juice🥭 | The Real Taste of Summer
It was really hot in Lahore today. Scorching sun, sweat everywhere, and all I wanted was something cold and refreshing.
Opened the fridge and found these 3 ripe mangoes sitting there. Pure desi, naturally sweet. Just looking at them made me smile. I thought, why not make fresh homemade mango juice? Not the market one, but the kind mom used to make.
The recipe was super simple:
- Peeled 3 mangoes and removed the seeds
- Blended mango pulp + 2 glasses of cold water + a little sugar + ice cubes
- Blend for 30 seconds... and done!
When I poured it into the glass, the color was magical. Golden yellow, like honey. One sip and the heat just disappeared. This is what summer is really about.
They call mango the "King of Fruits" for a reason. Vitamin C, fiber, natural sugar - everything in one glass. Market juices have chemicals and extra sugar, but homemade has only love and health 😊
When I was a kid, my mom always said "Beta eat mango, you'll get strong". Today I understood. That strength isn't just for the body, it's for the heart too. In summer, one glass of mango juice = instant happiness.
Mangoes are cheap in the market these days. Multan and Rahim Yar Khan mangoes are the best. If you have mangoes at home, try this. No blender? Just mash them by hand, add water and ice. The taste will be the same.
Today's diary lesson: Happiness isn't in big things. Sometimes it's hidden in 3 mangoes and cold water.
