Badarganj Central Jame Mosque is a very well-known and important religious place in my area.Which has long been known as a center of worship for people. This mosque is not only a place of prayer, but also known as a reliable place of mental peace.

Badarganj Central Jame Mosque is located in the Notun Bazar area of Badarganj Upazila in Rangpur district. Which is a very busy and well-known commercial area locally. Being in the middle of the market and in front of the Badarganj Shaheed Minar square, it is easily visible to everyone. And people coming from anywhere can easily find this mosque. Again, rickshaws, vans, autorickshaws or easy bikes are easily available to reach here. Because it is located on an important road. Those who live in the nearby area can also easily reach here on foot. For example, I or many of our family members sometimes reach there on foot. Especially when I have some work in the market. Then this mosque comes into sight and unknowingly attracts attention for a while. Which is a special feature of this place. Its tradition and importance are so deep that it has become one of the famous places in Badarganj.

This mosque is a three-storeyed beautiful building. Its architectural style is quite attractive and eye-catching. It was first established in 1905 and later rebuilt in 1998. As a result, it has created a beautiful combination of tradition with modern structures. The ground floor of the mosque has a prayer room on one side and ablution and bathroom on the other. The upper floors have spacious areas for prayers. Where numerous people worship together every day. The mosque has separate and good arrangements for ablution on the upper floor and inside. And cleanliness is maintained very seriously. There is no entry fee here. And religious discipline is mandatory. The atmosphere of the mosque is always calm and serene. Although the market is busy outside, you can feel a different tranquility as soon as you enter.

4_. Tu experiencia personal, y atenciones recibidas.

I have many childhood memories associated with this mosque. As a child, I once went inside the mosque with my father, which still remains a special experience in my mind. As I grew up, I usually saw the mosque from the outside, because many people from the market pray here and since I am a girl, it is not very easy to go inside, although there is a separate arrangement for girls. I took my younger brother with me while taking these pictures and he took some pictures of the inside for me. Especially when I go to the market in the afternoon, there is a fusca shop next to the mosque and I really like standing there, watching the people come and go and looking at the mosque. This whole atmosphere gives me a kind of mental peace.

I have been visiting this mosque since I was a child. Because it is located in the market of our area. I came here with my father as a child and I still remember that memory. Now when I go there, I stand for a while and look at the surroundings and try to calm my mind. I like to see the mosque building from a little distance.

2_. ¿Qué sonidos o aromas definen este refugio?

This place has its own sounds and smells. Which makes it different from all other places. The sound of the call to prayer from the mosque is felt the most here. As soon as you hear it, the mind naturally becomes calm. Along with this, the sounds of people talking and moving in the market create a different atmosphere.

3_. ¿En qué momento del día prefieres visitarlo y por qué?

The atmosphere of this place is different at different times of the day. But I like it the most in the afternoon and evening. Then the sunlight gradually softens, the market starts to get crowded and there is a kind of liveliness around. At the same time, the atmosphere of the mosque also looks very beautiful. Especially in the evening when the lights come on, the view becomes more attractive. Again, I like to stand and observe everything around me at this time of the afternoon. Because at this time, you can feel both busyness and peace at the same time, which is not so clear at other times.

If this place could talk, then maybe it would reveal the silent aspects of my mind. Which I don't easily tell anyone. Maybe it would say that when I am tired or immersed in thoughts. Then I unknowingly come to this place in the hope of getting some relief. I enjoy the views of that mosque quite a lot while taking a break. I like it a lot.
