We all love to travel. Today, focusing on this contest, I will share my good and bad experiences with one of the busiest places in Dhaka, Mohakhali Bus Terminal. One of the busiest places in Dhaka is Mohakhali Bus Terminal; I have to travel to and from the office by this bus terminal. And it is great for me to be able to share that experience through this contest. Thank you @adeljose & @kibreay001 for organizing this contest. So, let's get started.

I regularly travel to the office via Mohakhali Bus Terminal. However, for this contest, I visited one of the most important and busiest bus terminals in Dhaka city. This bus terminal is basically the main centre for the travel of people of North Bengal and the greater Mymensingh region. Buses of various routes, including Tangail, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Narsingdi, are available here.

Many people still call this terminal Tangail Bus Terminal. As soon as you step into this terminal, you see rows of buses, the hustle and bustle of passengers, and the hustle and bustle of bus workers (staff and coolies). This is a place where thousands of people gather every day to reach their destinations. I shared a list of fares from this terminal in Dhaka to different areas, which I learned from the bus terminal:

Mohakali Bus Terminal is a major transportation hub located in the heart of Dhaka. I found out from browsing the internet that this bus terminal was built in the 1980s. It is currently operated under the Dhaka North City Corporation.

The thing I like most about Mohakhali Bus Terminal is its "living pulse". It is a great experience to see the diverse lives of people while drinking tea from a stall there. Especially when the buses line up to leave for their destination at the crack of dawn, that scene is quite enjoyable. Also, the service of digital/online ticket counters has improved a lot in this terminal. This reduces the suffering of the passengers to some extent.

From my personal experience, this the busiest place also has some negative aspects. There is no good washroom facility here, and I have seen a very dirty environment in some places. Due to the excessive bus traffic in this terminal, air pollution and loud noise pollution are a daily occurrence here. Also, I see the transport workers here taking drugs, which I didn't like at all. The vehicles of this bus terminal are parked unnecessarily on both sides of the road, which causes massive traffic jams and causes suffering to the users of this road. Although the administration is currently working on cleanliness and illegal parking.

I last bought a ticket for Sunamganj in Sylhet from this bus terminal. Mohakhali Bus Terminal is not just a bus station; it is a source of employment for thousands of people and a hope for millions of people to reach their destinations. Every Thursday, thousands of people are seen thronging the place. However, if the traffic jam can be properly resolved, the transportation system on this road will be easier for ordinary people like me.
