Healthcare is a very important aspect in people's lives. A hospital is not just a place of treatment, it is a center of humanity, responsibility and service. Recently, I got the opportunity to visit Metropolitan Medical Centre Limited for the purpose of blood donation. Through this experience, I got a real idea about the overall environment, activities, lifestyle of the hospital and environmental impact. Below is a detailed report in the light of four specific topics.
What type of service location did you visit? Briefly describe it.
I visited a private modern medical service center, named Metropolitan Medical Centre Limited. It is a well-known hospital, where multifaceted healthcare is provided to the patients.
The main purpose of my visit was to donate blood. When I went there, I saw that there is a separate unit for blood donation, where trained nurses and technicians work with great care. The waiting room, emergency department, laboratory, wards and treatment rooms for the patients are well organized.

As soon as I enter the hospital, a clean environment, discipline and professionalism are visible. They are quite sincere in providing services to the patients, which is the main feature of a good healthcare institution.

Metropolitan Medical Centre Limited is an important private healthcare institution in Dhaka. It has been providing medical services for a long time and has gradually gained the trust of the people. The hospital is located in an important place in the city, which is easily accessible. Its location is in a place where patients can easily come from different surrounding areas.

Since its establishment, this medical center has been providing advanced services using modern medical technology. With the addition of new medical methods, advanced equipment and skilled manpower, its activities have expanded further. As a result, it has now developed into a complete medical center, not just a simple clinic.
Type of work & Workers’ lifestyle
The working style of this hospital is very well organized and responsible. Different responsibilities are distributed among different departments.
Doctors diagnose and treat diseases. Nurses take care of patients round the clock and ensure their necessary services. Lab technicians conduct various tests. Other employees complete administrative and support tasks.

The life of the employees is quite challenging. They have to work long hours and sometimes take on additional responsibilities in emergency situations. Working especially in the night shift, dealing with the critical condition of the patients and dealing with the mental stress is a difficult task for them.

Yet they are providing professional services to the patients. During blood donation, I noticed that the nurses are working very carefully and ensuring the comfort of the donor. This shows that they are not only fulfilling their duties but also working from a humanitarian perspective.

The environment of Metropolitan Medical Centre Limited is generally hygienic and clean. Regular cleanliness is maintained inside the hospital, which creates a safe environment for the patients.

Various types of waste are generated in the hospital, such as medical waste, plastic, chemicals, etc. If these wastes are not managed properly, they can be harmful to the environment.

However, my observation shows that there is a system for waste segregation and safe disposal. Such as using different dustbins, keeping infectious waste separate and disposing of it according to specific rules.In addition, ventilation, lighting and air conditioning have been ensured inside the hospital, which creates a positive environmental impact overall.

Overall, Metropolitan Medical Centre Limited is playing an important role as a modern, well-organized and responsible healthcare institution.

From my experience of donating blood, I have understood that the quality of service, environment and management here are all improved and commendable. The sincerity and professionalism of the staff are one of the strengths of this institution.
Such institutions are essential to ensure healthcare in our society and it is expected that they will provide better services in the future as well.
