What type of service location did you visit? Briefly describe it.

I will post Dhaka Kamalapur Railway Station today. Our Bangladeshi people feel more comfortable traveling by train. I prefer traveling by train than by bus. I went to Dhaka a few days ago. Then we got down at Kamalapur Railway Station. As per the rules at Dhaka Kamalapur Railway Station, I took a picture of Kamalapur Railway Station. Dhaka Kamalapur Railway Station is one of the largest railway junctions in Bangladesh. Trains run on various routes from Kamalapur Railway Station.

Operational history & Location (Steem Atlas pin)

Kamalapur Railway Station is a central railway station located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is the largest station in the country. This railway station was opened on 1 May 1968. Kamalapur Railway Station was built during the Pakistan period. Built in 1968, this railway station was the main witness to the genocide that took place during the Liberation War in 1971. After our Bangladesh became independent, the country's first inland container depot was established here. Although proposals were made to demolish the building of this station at various times, it was not implemented. Various problems are currently being observed at Kamalapur Station. One of them is insecurity, criminal activities and floating population. This station has 13 platforms. In addition, there are various facilities including a mosque, railway hospital, police station.

Environmental impact & (With pictures + videos)

Railway stations have a positive impact on the environment. Rail transport is more environmentally friendly than other forms of transport. Station-centered activities have several impacts on the environment. Trains emit 70% less greenhouse gas than buses and trucks. Railway stations reduce the pressure on road transport by increasing travel facilities. This saves us a lot of fuel.
