Charging is noticeably faster than previous Fold models, although several Chinese foldables still offer significantly faster charging speeds and larger batteries. Even so, the overall battery experience is solid enough for everyday use.

On the software side, the Fold8 runs One UI 9 based on #Android 17. Samsung continues to lead the Android market with one of the best software experiences available. The large display is fully optimized for split-screen multitasking, floating windows, and Galaxy AI features, making the Fold8 an excellent productivity device. Samsung also promises seven years of Android and security updates, giving buyers confidence that the phone will remain supported for many years. But if your highest priority is camera hardware, battery capacity, or ultra-fast charging, competitors like the Vivo X Fold6, Honor Magic V series, or Oppo Find N series may still offer a stronger overall hardware package.
