Talk about a movie with an unforgettable twist In no more 400 words.

The movie I want to talk about is called Saraswathi, produced in 2026. It tells the story of a young woman named Lakshmi who works as a nurse in a government house and lives with her daughter, Saraswathi. One day, Lakshmi took her daughter to school for the Indian Independence Day celebration, which was also her daughter's birthday.

Lakshmi arrived in the evening to pick her up. When she asked the gatekeeper about her daughter, the school denied knowing her, stating that the only Saraswathi they knew was not her daughter. Lakshmi caused a scene within the school premises, and the principal called the police to investigate. In this case, there was no evidence that her daughter had studied at the school.

The next day, Lakshmi went to the police, claiming that her daughter had been raped by the principal and his colleagues, which resulted in her daughter's death. She told the police that she had buried her in a cemetery

When they reached that place, they couldn't find Saraswati's body, where everyone began to get confused, including me, while watching the movie. I kept wondering how this movie was full of twists. In that case, the police said that they couldn't proceed with the case because there was no evidence.

She later hired a human rights lawyer who fought for justice, and he took up the case even without evidence. As I continued watching that movie, I later realized that Lakshmi was Saraswati, which means that her parents are Lakshmi and Prabhakar. It took me a long time to understand what was happening while watching the movie.

How did the twist changed the story?

The twist in this movie that I didn't expect was that the lady Saraswati had worked hand-in-hand with her husband to act as if she had a psychotic disorder. So, all this was their plan.

Another thing to know before understanding the reality is that she acts stranger because, when the police visited the man who guided the cemetery, he told them Saraswati doesn't bring anybody into the cemetery because he was under alcohol influence. She just acted as if she was moving a body into the grave.

In addition, it's a psychological movie where all the things are planned and hidden without informing the lawyer. So, in this case, she used the lawyer to fight a system that failed to protect the rights of women in society. With no physical evidence, I feel confused about how they can find solutions to her problems because she hides under a mental disorder to enable justice to work in the right way.

What was your reaction to the twist?

At the first scene of the movie, I was confused because it's very difficult to guess what is going to happen at the end, as there are different kinds of adjustments in the case of the woman in court.

Although one part of the movie is full of suspense, at the end, I realized that Saraswathi is the daughter who was raped, and when her parents took her to the hospital, the doctor confirmed that she cannot conceive any longer. Although he later killed all those three people, the lawyer pleaded to reduce her sentence because she was suffering from a fantasy disorder.
