The movie opens up with a group of three women (Queen, Imade and Eno) happy with glasses of Champagne while standing outside the gate.
They have successfully caused the eviction of a neighbor who was not dancing to their tunes. Queen being their leader said they were in charge of the estate and determines who goes or stays.
The next scene had Demilade and her husband Ekene move into the new apartment they had just bought and ofcourse they received a rather uncautious visit from the three minions as she rightly called them. They came to introduce themselves as the ones incharge of the estate.
They had the wrong vibe and Demilade was a total match for them which made them get off on the wrong path. Imade on the other hand seemed to like Demilade while Eno and Queen didn’t. She gave them Aura for Aura. In Imade’s words, Demilade carried affluence with confidence.

Demilade’s husband was wealthy and she didn’t hesitate to show it off. She had a walk-in closet filled with all manner of designers bags, clothes and shoes and her husband loves and adores her.
Her husband’s sister and brother on the other hand was insinuating that Demilade was with their brother just for his money. They said she wanted to kill him and make away with all his money and that’s why she hasn’t given birth.
Queen invited Demilade for their estate meeting and they ended on being at log aheads on who would be the next estate president. Queen was the sole candidate until Demilade showed up to challenge her even though she was new to the estate. They said she can’t contest unless somehow vouches for her.
An older woman who Demilade respected as against Queens arrogance to the woman vouched for her and that was were the battle line was drawn. Queen was really mean to the estate women and even to her friends.
Meanwhile Demilade had just made a new friend Greg in the estate but she didn’t tell her husband. Her husband was a typical Igbo man who’s loud and uncouth and she wasn’t really proud of his old fashioned way. She felt her husband would be intimidated by Greg.

Greg on the other hand was getting close to Demilade but he’s a con artist. He lures married women into his trap and blackmails them for money.
Imade was his victim. He would have done the same to Demilade but Imade stepped in and saved her by sending their pictures to Ekene Demilade’s husband.
Ekene confronted his wife who said there was nothing between her and Greg. The next scene had Ekene crying and explaining to Demilade that his ship carrying all his containers has sung and all his goods was burnt at the high sea.
This tracjectory changed their entire life. Ekene sold off all their cars and shops and blocked Demilade’s account. She couldn’t believe that they were broke. She couldn’t bear the thought of going back to being poor.
What single decision in the movie changed everything? |
|---|
The single decision that changed everything was when Demilade dropped a note for Ekene telling her she couldn’t take their new state and had to take a decision. He ran into their room and saw that Demilade had taken all her belongings. He was heart broken that she left him.

This was were the twist happened. I had thought she really left him and was there for just his money. She came back to see her husband on the floor crying and asked him what happened.
He said he thought she had left him but she said she took all her belongings to sell to raise money for them to start afresh. She said she loved him so much and would never leave him because he was broke.
She sold all her expensive bags and shoes and clothes for 110,000,000 Naira. The husband couldn’t believe his eyes. It was then he knew that his wife truly loved him and wasn’t there for his money.
Meanwhile Demilade on the other hand wanted to drop running for the estate presidency when her husband lost all his money but also changed her mind due to Queens arrogance. She actually slapped Queen when she abused her husband.

|---|
She decided to stand by her husband despite his broke condition. She decided to continue running for the presidency to set a new precedence because Queens mode of leadership was brash and arrogant instead of uniting them.
She helped Imade escape the blackmail from Greg who had syphoned 10,000 dollars from her already.
What would you have done differently? |
|---|
I felt that the contention between her and the three minions were a lot even though they were trying to bully her but she stood for herself. If it was me, I would have avoided all the confrontations and verbal fights because it’s actually a whole lot of drama. The drama was really fierce.
Demilade’s husband was wealthy and she didn’t hesitate to flaunt it. I believe in dressing well and looking good but flaunting the wealth I feel
is unnecessary.
I would just have lived my life on low key and not want to show people that we have the money. I feel the competition and show off wasn’t necessary.

|---|
Demilade was actually very physical even to the extent of hitting people just to keep them in check. Though they deserved it, I feel that was on the extreme.
I wouldn’t want to be involved in a physical banter with someone just to proof a point. I would rather walk away or seek another means of making peace but most times people only listen to the lard way.
When you are peaceful and calm, they see you as weak and would always want to take advantage of that hence people don’t mind being violent sometimes. For me, I would rather pass really.
Did the character’s choice feel right or wrong to you? And why? |
|---|
Demilade’s ways were uncanny and crude as she grew up in the streets but at the end of the day, it seemed hard way was the only way.
Her choices though not refined, produced all the right results. Her deciding to stick with her husband made him proof his people wrong that she wasn’t there for his money.

|---|
She didn’t know her husband was putting her to a test but she passed in flying colours. He bought her the car that she has always wanted. A cyber truck. You should check out this car. It’s on a class of its own. Learnt it’s about #260,000,000 Naira.
Her deciding to run for presidency against Queen made Queen changed her ways as she won and she also helped Queen escape and abusive marriage even though Queen wasn’t nice to her initially. She changed the statusquo with her boldness and confidence.
Her choice to also help Imade made all of them become friends. The three minions had to change their inhumane approach to life and others and become more considerate and humane in their dealings.
Demilade was a whole new game. She changed everything. She was the light they didn’t know they needed.

This movie is a very captivating one and a must watch for anyone who loves good movies. It reached over 20,000,000 views on YouTube from the last time I checked.
The message and moral behind this movie is that it teaches that true and genuine love goes beyond status, pride, and societal expectations and also makes people know that understanding and growth are key in relationships.
Her choices didn’t feel so right to me like I explained in what I would have done if it was me but she had to do what she had to do and at the end it was all for the better.
I was glad when she chose to stay with her husband despite the situation they were in. It was a sign of true loyalty and I loved it. My heart would have been broken had she left him because she felt he had lost all his wealth.
The end was very dramatic and brought tears to my face especially when she was professing her love to her husband after he thought she had left him.
It’s indeed a replica of its name, where love lives.

Looks like I've seen this movie or something similar to it. One still shot by Bimbo.
Your points are valid.
I wouldn't advise anyone to flaunt their wealth, or assault anyone. The first is a moral issue while the second has its web curved on the legal perspective.
Assault isn't justified in any situation, even in law. That's a violation of that person's right to personal dignity. It baffles me when I see anyone justify it.
Some behaviours are catalysts for broader societal decay. They just don't affect the individual but extend to society. If they are ignored or justified, overtime it compounds to the normalisation of violence and widespread moral decadence.
I support your views. That's the way to go.
