Have you ever wondered why there's this adage that says; "a good name is better than silver and gold"? Have you taken time to look deeply into its meaning? Does a good name literally means just having a good and beautiful name? Nay... It's not but it's rather referring to one's attitude, one's character and behaviour. Can anyone speak good about you even in your absence? Can someone give recommendations about you without even thinking twice? That is what a good name should be all about.

What does it mean to be "true to yourself"?

A lot of people these days are like a two-faced coin. Most time, they speak from both sides of their mouth. They are unreliable, you can't trust them with certain things, in fact telling them certain secrets is usually at your own detriment.

For you to be true to yourself, you should be able to build this level of trust and confidence amongst your circle. Remember, trust can only be earned. You can't buy trust with money or any material gift. And if you must build trust within your circle, then you just have to be genuine, you have to real, you have to be reliable, your "yes" should be "yes" and your "no" should be "no". You shouldn't speak from both sides of your mouth. In doing so, you are being true to yourself.

Why is it important for people to keep their promises?

Fulfilling your promise is very important before when you fail to do you, your integrity is at stake and once that happens, trust me, your reputation will surely drop.
When you make a promise, you've raised a lot of hopes and when you fail to fulfil it, a lot of hopes will crash out. When this happens repeatedly, no one will ever take you seriously again. Your image in the public will be painted black, your integrity will no longer be there.
I'll suggest that you only make promises that you are sure of fulfilling.

What's the difference between being honest and being nice?

Ha ha ha ha...... You can be honest without being nice likewise, you can be nice without being honest.
Confusing right? Ok, let's look at it this way, when you find yourself in a very tight situation within a company where there's a huge scandal ongoing. You as a man of integrity, if you try to be honest in such kind of situation, a lot of your colleagues will tag you the black sheep of the family and tell you that you're not nice. On the other hand, you can act nice by covering up such scandals. Of course in doing so, your colleagues will say you're acting nicely meanwhile deep within you, you know you ain't being honest.

We can also have other cases where one can be both nice and honest.

If your friend asked you to lie for them to get out of trouble, would you do it? Why or why not?

I won't lie to save my friend oooo. Reason being that once I lie, I will need another bigger lie to cover the lie I lied earlier and that's how the circle goes.
To avoid such, I would rather say the truth and free my conscience.
