When I read your theme of the week I had a couple of movies in my mind, but for me, a movie that best fits courage, resilience, and growth, I picked Hacksaw Ridge.

Now I come to your questions

Watch a movie that speaks of Courage and resilience;:

I consider Hacksaw Ridge stands out because its hero Desmond Doss' courage is not loud or aggressive, but his steadiness, morality, and depth he displayed in his character under extreme pressure is important. The hero of Hacksaw Ridge, Desmond Doss, played by Andrew Garfield, as the WWII doctor who refused to carry a weapon but still saved soldiers during the Battle of Okinawa.

If I look at his role from the angle you asked in your contest, it shows courage as the decision to stay true to his values even when everyone else doubted him.

What or whose inner struggle stood out the most for you in the movie?

This movie shows resilience through repeated hardship, fear, and conflict without giving up. This movie reflects growth, because the character’s strength is not just physical but emotional and spiritual.

In the film, he was playing the role of an army doctor at Okinawa’s Hacksaw Ridge, where he stayed behind after the unit retreated and rescued the injured left on the plateau.

Desmond Doss saved 75 soldiers by repeatedly going out under heavy fire, finding wounded soldiers, dragging or carrying them to the edge of the ridge, tying them to a rope, and lowering them down to safety one by one.

Which moment showed real strength and why?
While doing his duty he kept praying, “just one more” and continued the rescue for hours until he could evacuate as many as he could. He did not stop but saved them all. Lord really helped him.

The most touching part was he kept praying for “just one more” and continued the rescue for hours until he could evacuate as many as he could. He saved not only "one more" but saved them all, as many as he could.

I was truly touched when I heard him say "Please, Lord, help me get one more.” It captures my soul and mind which denotes his courage, faith, and refusal to quit even in the middle of battle. His faith speaks volumes of Courage and resilience and shows his true courage, resilience, and overall growth.

As usual he was mocked at times and even pressurized during training for refusing weapons, but he stayed firm in his Christian beliefs. So even if we leave his similar acts during other wars, his work during the Battle of Okinawa in May 1945, where he went out into enemy fire to rescue wounded soldiers from the ridge is simply outstanding.

How did the character change by the end?

Desmond Doss saved the 75 men by repeatedly going out under heavy fire, finding wounded soldiers, dragging or carrying them to the edge of the ridge, tying them to a rope, and lowering them down to safety one by one. He kept praying for “just one more” and continued the rescue for hours until dozens were evacuated.

As I'm a world history lover, Desmond's story brings back several real life events from World War II, especially his role and being a Seventh-day Adventist believer he refused to carry a gun which was his unique point which probably brought that change in him.

That sounds unbelievable but that was true which makes his role even more powerful because he joined army as a doctor and not as a fighting soldier or to kill but to save lives. He taught the world to serve without taking lives.

Desmond was changed by a deeper faith in compassion, not violence but war only confirmed it. Since you have asked about change in that character I must say, in the end, courage for him meant saving lives without losing his conscience, proving that conviction can be stronger than fear.

But was that a change, I guess his conviction that changed the world around him. To be frank in this case the hero didn't change a bit but he changed the general belief that an army man is not all about weapons. This movie speaks of real courage and resilience in true sense.
