Today Was Her Day Indeed

Good day everyone and welcome to my dairy game session.

Today, my best friend actually invited me to her convocation in her school, University of Calabar, and I didn’t even think twice about it, I knew I had to show up, because this kind of moment matters, so today I prepared myself with that excitement in mind, making sure I looked good but also trying not to be late, and as I stepped out and got on the road, everything just felt different, like I was going to witness something important, the weather was calm, not too hot, just a little sun with some breeze, but as I got closer to the school environment.

The Traffic At The School Gate

Getting to the school gate was another experience on its own, because everywhere was already full, people coming in, people trying to find their way, The traffic started building up, you could already tell many people were heading to the same place, cars moving slowly, people dropping off passengers, some even trekking the remaining distance, it was already getting busy before even entering the school security trying to manage the crowd, and you could just feel the energy in the air, it wasn’t calm at all, but it wasn’t chaotic either, it was just that kind of busy moment where something big is happening, different people dressed nicely, families, friends, everyone just ready to celebrate their own person, and for a moment I just stood there looking around, taking everything in before moving inside properly

The Tent Which Contained The Masses

inside the school, the main event was set under a very large tent, and I mean really large, because it had to contain a lot of people, rows of chairs filled up, some people still standing, cameras everywhere, and the stage clearly arranged in front where everything was happening, the graduates were seated in order, and you could see different emotions on their faces, some smiling all through, some just quiet and taking it all in, as names were being called, you could hear loud cheers from different corners, clapping, excitement, it just kept going like that, and when it got to her turn, I felt this strong sense of pride, because I know her story, I know the effort behind this moment, so seeing her walk up there, it really meant something

The Group And Family Picture Moments

After the whole ceremony, people didn’t just leave immediately, everywhere turned into picture spots, small small groups gathering, taking photos, laughing, celebrating, and from there we went to the studio to take proper pictures, because this kind of day deserves something more organized, and inside the studio it was a bit calmer, but still full of that happy energy.

Her Moments On Camera

As she stood in front of the camera in her gown, adjusting it and posing, you could clearly see that everything had finally settled in for her, the stress, the journey, everything now replaced with this calm happiness, like she finally did it, and the pictures were not just pictures, they felt like proof of everything she has gone through and overcome, and standing there watching her, I just felt really glad I came, because this is one of those moments that actually stay with you for a long time.
