SLC31-W1: Shop & Share Challenge - Visit a Small Local Shop

This morning as I woke, I had it in mind to patronise my landlady's store which is just outside the building. My landlady runs a small store outside of the building I am leaving.

She sells a few things in her store and she has just begun selling things in her store recently. It is a new store which I must say because it was this year that she started selling something in her store.

She sells bread, pure water, and other provisions in her store. The store is located in Gimare and it is not a well-known store because it's just a neighbourhood store.

✓ Tell us why you chose that shop

I chose that shop because I needed to patronise my landlady's store today and I was craving for bread which I decided to buy from my landlady's store rather than going to get it at a far place. Besides this morning she called to see me in her store which I then decided to buy bread from her store.

✓ The price of the item you purchased from the shop

I bought the bread that I am holding in my hand for just 400 Naira which is almost worth 5 STEEM. Though the bread is a small bread, it is not a big bread which is the reason why it is cheaper.

✓ Your shopping experience.

My shopping experience was not that bad because my landlady is a friendly person, unlike her husband who is not a friendly person.

As I was at the shop the landlord himself noticed I was taking pictures which he communicated to his wife in their native language which made me feel bad and stop taking the pictures that I had planned to take.

✓ What do you think the shop or store owner needs to do to expand his or her business and tell us if the business is lagging in patronage.

I think the store owner needs to expand the store to make it a befitting place for shopping. Although this will cost the store owner a lot of money, with proper savings, management of resources, and an investment plan the store owner can achieve this because the store is lagging behind in terms of having enough goods.
