Jai Bhim is a movie made by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D Entertainment. T.J. Gnanavel. Directed the movie. Sean Roldan made the music S.R. Kathir did the camera work. Philomin Raj put the movie together.

Suriya played Advocate Chandru. Lijomol Jose played Sengeni and K. Manikandan played Rajakannu. Prakash Raj played I.G. Perumalsamy and Rajisha Vijayan played Maitreyi. What social issue did the movie highlight?

This movie is about something that really happened. A man died in police custody at the Kammapuram Police Station in the Cuddalore district. Advocate Chandru took the case of Rajakannu and Parvathi to the Madras High Court. They are, from the Irular community. Advocate Chandru argued for Parvathi. Made sure she got justice.

This case was very important because it helped people who were treated unfairly. They were accused of things they did not do and were not given the land that was theirs. This case led to the creation of the Tribal Irular Protection Association. The movie Jai Bhim is based on this case.

Plot

Rajakannu, who is also known as Manikandan and his wife Sengeni also known as Lijomol Jose are a couple from the Irular tribe. They have a girl and Sengeni is going to have another baby soon. The Irular tribe couple lives in a poor condition in Konamalai near Villupuram.

One day something bad happens. The police arrest. His friends because they think they stole some jewelry.. This is not true. The police take them away. They get hurt very badly in prison. Then they just disappear.

Sengeni from the Irular tribe needs help now. She goes to see Chandru, who's a lawyer. Chandru is also known as Suriya. He believes in the ideas of the Communist party. Also follows the thoughts of Ambedkar.

The rest of the story is about how Chandru fights for the Irular people like Rajakannu and Sengeni to get justice. Chandru wants justice, for the Irular tribe.
