Hi friends, welcome to my blog, it feels good to finally make an entry into this contest. Truth be told, I have been avoiding this topic for days now. The reason is not far fetched, I just couldn't wrap my head around what this is all about, it left me wondering what the world was turning into but then I decided to run a little research about it before making my conclusion and finally sharing my thoughts. Let's get right into it friends.

Do you think this trend should be encouraged so as to stop unwanted pregnancy?

There are more important reason why this medical procedure was developed, I think unwanted pregnancy is actually the least of the the many valid and weightier reasons why it was developed. If unwanted pregnancy is the reasons why young women are going into it then I would consider it an abuse of medical breakthrough.

Egg freezing is a breakthrough in the medical field but not for petty stuffs like unwanted pregnancy. This medical procedure is done for people with weightier health conditions like those who suffer from early menopause. Egg freezing procedure would help extract the egg and preserve ahead of that period so people in this category can have children regardless.

Another reason is to preserve fertility before undergoing major surgeries that are capable of destroying the womb. One could also do egg freezing when undergoing special treatment like chemotherapy or radiation. You see, these and many more valid reason are the reason why egg freezing are done
Not for this cheap reason that common family planning can fix. When the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable

What happens when there's a mistake in the storage.

You already have an answer to the question but I'm glad you still chose to hear it from me. When there is a mistake, which could be in any form, the woman in question could be barren for life if she is in any of the category of people I mentioned earlier.

However if she is a healthy woman without any serious medical condition, all she needs to do is to go for another extraction because a woman will not stop producing eggs until she gets to the stage of menopause .

Explain how this trend can affect our younger generation.

In my opinion this trend would be abused by the younger generation because many of these folks are not well informed about this trend neither do they understand the purpose. I just hope it's not a cheap procedure otherwise, it would be seriously abused by the younger generation.

We really have to be careful of trends, not everything trending is beneficial, we have to learn to be selective when dealing with trends, influencers are majorly the people pushing just any trend as long as they are paid to sell the narrative. Many of them have little or no knowledge about what they are promoting, neither do they count the cost or project the damage it would cause in the society. They only care about the money!

Can you advise your sister/female child to do egg freezing?

I really do not like this medical procedure and would not advise any of my family members to undergo it, maybe it's because of the way it's been done. I can only consider it if there is a very strong reason to which include the example I cited above and it also has to be recommended by a medical practioner before we can even give a go ahead. By God's grace you and I reading this would not be victims of these conditions in Jesus name.

Egg freezing is not a bad medical procedure but the way we deal with it will make us perceive it differently, some would see it as something completely abnormal while others would see it as a life saver based on the condition they are dealing with.
