The Diary game: 9th July 2026. A day in a life of a lonely girl living alone.

Hello, steamians! It’s your girl here again, Naomi, and welcome to another Day in the Life of a Lonely Girl Living Alone. This is how I spent my day.

I woke up feeling very lazy, weak, and completely drained. Honestly, I didn’t even have the strength to do much. After lying in bed for a while, I managed to get up, brush my teeth, and tidy up the kitchen a little. Even those simple tasks felt like a lot because my body wasn’t cooperating with me.

After cleaning the kitchen, I decided it was finally time to organize my wardrobe. I had some clothes that I had washed a few days earlier, and they were still waiting to be folded and arranged. So, I brought everything out and scattered the clothes all over my bed so I could sort them properly.

Unfortunately, after bringing everything out, I completely lost the energy to continue. I couldn’t even fold a single piece of clothing. I was just so tired, weak, and unusually lazy. I honestly don’t know what came over me that day. I simply gave up, left the clothes on the bed, climbed back onto the bed, picked up my phone, and started scrolling.

To be honest, my phone is the only thing that keeps me company. I don’t really have friends who come around to visit, and I hardly go out. It’s just me, alone in the house. Most days, my routine is simply walking from my bed to different parts of the room, then back to my bed again, scrolling through my phone, chatting online, or watching random things. That’s pretty much how I spend most of my time.

Even eating felt like a difficult task that day. I couldn’t bring myself to enter the kitchen to prepare anything because I felt so weak. I honestly don’t know why I felt that way, but every little thing seemed like hard work.

By the afternoon, as evening was approaching, I realized I couldn’t leave my room looking so messy. I forced myself to get up, folded all the clothes, and arranged my wardrobe. At least after that, the room looked much neater and more organized, and I felt a little better seeing everything back in place.

After arranging the room, I finally prepared something to eat. Funny enough, my breakfast and lunch ended up becoming my dinner because it was already evening by the time I ate.

Later on, I remembered that I needed to call someone. Unfortunately, the person’s number wasn’t saved on my main phone. It was on my small phone, but the battery had been bad for several days. I had been postponing buying a replacement battery, so I finally decided to stop procrastinating. I picked up the phone and walked to the junction to buy a new battery.

When I got there, I noticed a woman roasting corn by the roadside. Even though it was already around 8 or 9 p.m., I decided to buy one for myself. It had been a long day, and roasted corn sounded really nice.

After buying the corn, I went to the phone accessories shop to ask about the battery. The first price they gave me was higher than I had budgeted, so I left for a moment and stopped by a pharmacy instead. I explained to them how weak and unusually lazy I had been feeling all day. After listening to me, they recommended some medication, and I bought it.

Then I returned to the phone shop. The young man there convinced me that the battery was of good quality and would last much longer, so I decided to buy it.

I was so hopeful that everything would finally work again. But unfortunately, after inserting the new battery into my small phone, I discovered that the phone’s screen had become faulty. I couldn’t even access the contacts I had bought the battery for in the first place. Immediately I switched it on, my heart just sank. I became so disappointed because the whole purpose of buying the battery was to retrieve that phone number.

As if that wasn’t enough, my main phone suddenly developed its own problem. It completely stopped responding. I couldn’t access anything on it. At that moment, I was standing there holding two phones that were both useless to me. I honestly didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

I became so frustrated and upset. If anyone had called me at that moment, I wouldn’t even have been able to answer because the phone had completely frozen. Someone later explained that the only way it would come back on was after the battery had completely drained before charging it again. The annoying part was that my phone was fully charged, so I knew I would have to wait for a very long time before that could happen.

I then tried using the small phone, only to discover that some of its buttons had also stopped working. Thankfully, I still remembered my main phone number off the top of my head. I managed to dial it over and over again from the small phone. I honestly called my main phone more than 200 times just so the battery would run down quickly.

Finally, after countless calls, the battery died. I immediately plugged it in to charge, switched it back on, and thankfully, it started working again.

I can’t even explain how relieved I felt. I had been so angry and worried because I couldn’t afford to repair or replace my phone if it had actually spoiled. As someone who spends most of her time alone, my phone is more than just a device—it keeps me connected to people and keeps me company. Losing it would have been really difficult, especially since I don’t have the money for another one right now.

Thankfully, everything eventually worked out, and my phone came back to life. Despite everything that happened, I’m grateful it wasn’t anything more serious.
