Write about a movie that has never left your mind because it impacted you. |

The movie that has never left my mind is Cobra Kai. This is one of the most inspiring series I have ever watched. It is a continuation of The Karate Kid, which was acted by Jonny Lawrence and Larusso a long time ago, but it introduces a new generation of students and teachers. What makes this movie special to me is the message about discipline, mentorship, resilience, and believing one self. I'm a movie expert when it comes to watching movies, but no movie has touched me like this movie.
The story begins with Johnny Lawrence, a former karate champion whose life has fallen apart because he lost a tournament to Daniel LaRusso, and because of that, everyone turned their back on him, including his sensei (teacher) and his stepfather. He became unemployed, struggled financially, and felt like a failure. One day, he rescued his new neighbor, a teenage boy named Miguel Diaz, from a group of bullies. Miguel was a shy, weak, and low-esteemed fellow. He begs Johnny to teach him karate so he can defend himself in school. At first Johnny refuses, but he later agrees and reopens the Cobra Kai dojo.

Miguel began his karate training and transformed his skills completely and so quickly. He becomes stronger, more disciplined, and more confident. As he improves, other students from his school join the dojo and began to take lesson from Johnny but meanwhile Jonny's old rival, Daniel LaRusso, noticed that Cobra Kai’s has return and becomes concerned because of the dojo’s aggressive reputation.
The story continues as Miguel who is the major actor faced both physical and emotional struggles, challenges, friendships, and rivalries but he kept on training. He learns that success does not come easily but requires hard work, persistence, and courage. Johnny also changes his life through teaching Miguel. He became more responsible and began to heal from his own painful past and also reunited with the son whom he abandoned, Robby Keene, and later remarried and was blessed with a beautiful daughter. This movie consists of numerous talented characters and scenes because it's a seasonal movie. And the script is long and burdensome. The other most important characters were Samantha Larusso (Daniel Larusso's daughter and Miguel's girlfriend), Hawk, Demetri, Moon, Robby Keene (Jonny Lawrence's son, whom he abandoned since he was a baby), Carmen Diaz (Miguel's mother), Mrs. Larusso (Larusso's wife), Tory, and so many others. But trust me, the movie was impactful, and it taught me a lot of lessons. One thing about me is that I forget the titles of the movies I watch, but Cobra Kai rings in my ear every day. I watched this movie at the end of last year, but I still rewatch the movie even today, and I don't get tired of watching it.
Which scene still stays in your mind? Why? |
|---|
The scene that remains deeply in my mind was when the series reached a powerful moment during the Sekai Taikai Tournament in season six: Miguel’s opponent (Axel) was very strong and powerful; this made Miguel become nervous and unsure of himself. Sensei Johnny Lawrence encourages him with heartfelt words. He tells Miguel that he has already proven himself and that he should remember all he has learned and put it on the tournament mat and "go all in." This simply means that Miguel should trust in his training and skills. Johnny also reminded him that he is no longer the scared boy who was bullied. and these words give Miguel confidence and strength to face and fight Axel his opponent.

These words did not only work for Miguel but they also worked for me too. Anytime I have difficulties, especially in school, I will always remember those words and apply them to myself, and I have seen progress. This scene touched me so deeply because it shows the importance of encouragement. Sometimes, all a we needs is someone who believes in us and Johnny’s believes and support helped Miguel overcome fear and perform at his best. And as a student, this scene reminds me that I should not doubt myself and with preparation and confidence, I can face any challenge and succeed.
What message did you carry forward? |

Sensei Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso

This movie series ends with many lessons about forgiveness, determination and self growth. Characters who once hated each other began to understand one another. Daniel LaRusso, who was once Johnny Lawrence's rival, became his best friend and a strong supporter of his dojo, Cobra Kai, and he even became his sensei in the Sekai Taikai tournament and the message I carried forward from Cobra Kai is that our past does not define our present and future but it the changes and progress we make. No matter how many mistakes we have made, we can always change and become better. I also learned that discipline, respect, and perseverance are essential tools for success in life, and forgiveness is a very important aspect of growth and development.
Would you recommend this movie? Why? |

I would strongly recommend Cobra Kai to everyone because it is entertaining, emotional, and full of valuable life lessons. The characters in this movie are relatable, and the story teaches us to be brave, humble, and determined to succeed. This series has stayed in my mind because it has inspired me to believe in myself and to keep pushing forward, even when life becomes difficult and unfair. And I believe that I'm not the only one aspiring for growth, but there are many out there looking for something to keep them motivated and to keep punching forward.

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
Thank you for your beautiful comment and wishes ma'am, I sincerely appreciate it.
