As far as I understand, nowadays people usually give more importance to romantic relationships when talking about love. But in my opinion, love is not limited to romance only. True love can also be found in family, friendship, sacrifice, kindness, and humanity. Sometimes there are relationships where there is no selfishness at all, only sincerity and care. To me, those forms of love are the purest and strongest.

Today I am going to write about an amazing movie called The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It is a war drama film released in 2008, and it touched me very deeply for highlighting the friendship between two children.

The movie beautifully shows the innocent friendship between two children even in the middle of war and hatred. While watching the film, I constantly felt that humanity and love are much stronger than hatred.

Movie Plot

The story of this movie is based on events during World War II. A young boy named Bruno moves to a new place with his family. One day, near a fenced area, he meets another boy named Shmuel. Slowly, a friendship develops between them.

Although their lives, environments, and realities were completely different, there was no discrimination in their friendship. The movie beautifully shows how the innocent bond between two children can become a shining example of humanity even in the middle of war, hatred, and division.

One of the strongest aspects of this movie is its emotional presentation. Instead of focusing on romantic love, it gives importance to friendship, humanity, and compassion. While watching the movie, it becomes clear that even small human connections can become one of the greatest strengths in the world.

What type of love was most powerful in the movie?

The most powerful form of love in this movie, in my opinion, was the innocent friendship between the two children. There was no selfishness, hatred, or division between Bruno and Shmuel. They simply saw each other as friends. Their relationship made me realize that people are not born hating others; society and circumstances teach them those divisions.

At first, their friendship started in a very simple way, but gradually it became deeper. Bruno always wanted to meet Shmuel and spend time with him. On the other hand, Shmuel also found a true friend in Bruno. Their relationship was presented with such sincerity and humanity that it made the emotional impact of the movie even stronger.

Bruno’s father was a Nazi officer, and Bruno did not fully understand the reality of the camp near his home. Even without understanding the danger completely, Bruno tried to help Shmuel. That was one of the strongest moments of their friendship. Without thinking about consequences, they cared deeply for each other and treated one another as true companions.

The most touching thing for me was that they never judged each other based on religion, race, or identity. In today’s world, where people easily create divisions, this friendship carries a very powerful message.

Do you think the love conveyed through this movie is realistic today? And why?

Yes, I believe the love and humanity shown in this movie are still realistic today. Even though the modern world is filled with conflict, discrimination, and hatred, true friendship and compassion still exist among people.

In real life, we can still see many people helping one another regardless of religion, nationality, language, or race. This is especially visible among children. Children usually do not know how to hate others. They can easily form friendships and sincerely accept others.

This movie reminded me that hatred destroys people, while love and humanity bring people together. If people learned to see others simply as human beings, many problems in the world could be solved. That is why I believe the message of this movie is not only realistic but also very important for today’s society.

What did the movie teach you about love?

This movie taught me many important lessons about love and humanity. It showed me that true love and friendship do not believe in discrimination. This movie made me truly realize that even war and barbed wires cannot become barriers to genuine friendship. A person’s humanity and heart are far more important than religion, race, or identity.

The movie also made me realize that innocent minds can sometimes be the most beautiful thing in the world. There was no complexity in Bruno and Shmuel’s friendship. They simply wanted to stay beside each other. That simplicity and sincerity made the movie so emotional.

In addition, the movie taught me that hatred and war never bring anything good. Instead, they destroy relationships, humanity, and happiness. If there were more compassion and love in the world, perhaps many sufferings and divisions could be avoided.

The ending of the movie made me extremely emotional. After watching the entire story, I realized that love and human connection are among the most valuable things in life. This movie is not just a war story; it is a powerful example of humanity, friendship, and innocent love.

Finally, I want to say that The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a movie that made me think very deeply. It taught me that true love never creates division; instead, it brings people closer to each other. After watching this movie, I realized that humanity and compassion are the greatest strengths in the world.

Thank you everyone.

Sort:

Me encantó leerte. Saludos.

Muchas gracias por el apoyo. Lo aprecio!
