SC-S33/W2-Movie Character you relate with | Working Girl

Hello my dear Steemians,
The movie that I have chosen is called “Working Girl”, I do not know if many of you remember that movie but for me it was one of the movie that me and my mother watched together on one of the Saturday evening. I remember she told me that it was a movie with few lessons to learn for the future life but also with some funny moments.
To give you a short introduction I have included the key details of the movie itself in this table.

My mother did not tell me what the movie was about and I think she wanted my own impressions. The whole story is about Tess McGill (who was played by Melanie Griffith ), a young woman who is a beautiful but working as a secretary in a broker company with a dream of to reach more higher position in such company and for that she studied business degree in night school. Because of her look and working in male dominant environment she was never taken seriously.

After one of such moment when her boss wanted to force her to sexual affair, she left the job and next time applied to the company where the boss was a woman Katharine Parker the role is played by Sigourney Weaver. Tess was happy finally to have a woman as a boss and was openly giving suggestions in some of the situation if she after reading the paperwork she thought that it might help. One day Katherine had an accident and broke her leg, she asked Tess to look after her house.
Tess found the paperwork that she thought could have some changes and decided to bring this suggestions to the partner of Katherine but decided to pretend her, using her clothes and going to corporate meeting. She then fell in love with Jack Trainer, played by Harrison Ford, without knowing that is him but found it on following day. They both prepared documents for merger company and it comes successful. Later on Katherine is back and reveals the lie, she owned the idea of Tess claiming that she stole it but later on she was unable to explain how she came to this plan. Therefore, Katherine was fired and Tess gets her dream post.
My character who I wanted to associate myself with is Tess, actually when I think about such a young person who just starting her life in the world of adults, I also remember myself how I was feeling myself. When I was about 19 I started to work at the microbiology faculty and I remember that they treated me like a little girl, still very nice but did not take my advises so serious like of my other older colleagues. I remember only through constant hard working and keeping to show up my knowledge and engagement I then deserved a respect and it is a great feeling because only then in young age you already feel grown up.
Similarities between myself and Tess:
- we are both in young age and just after finishing our education
- we are both worked in the company either adult men group or in my case just adult tutors and professor who did not really think about me as a person who could work and share advises
- She then decided to be bold and show up her real character, in my case I also really went to ask directly, despite of the fact that I was very anxious but the result was rewarding
From Tess character I learnt:
- to be optimistic and never give up
- to keep the goal in my mind and strive to get toward goal
- to learn and work hard to reach the goal
- the only difference I wanted to make is never lie because once such bog projects started then we have to be honest and cannot deceive. Sometimes we would be lucky but there might be difficulties with out bosses and who know if that might bring us in prison.
