SLC-S31/W3-“Creative Interpretation| The Theme -“Silence Speaks”

Looking at my picture above you will notice that my face doesn't look happy and someone whose face doesn't look happy is capable of getting angry, shouting, and destabilizing the peace of others, but no I didn't because I understand the importance of "silence speaks".

While growing up I was meant to learn that silence speaks louder than even an empty noise which is the reason why it is said that "silence speaks" is the perfect way to avoid problems, to solve issues that aren't worth arguing.

I went to a certain place in my town which is the place where the picture you're seeing was taken to buy a battery for my wristwatch. It is a place with a small entrance, where as I was trying to enter someone else was coming out.

I don't know if the person purposely stepped on me or he did it by mistake I just can't tell, but I wasn't happy with his actions for not saying sorry at least. He wasn't remorseful about his action and even when I told him that he had matched me he tried to claim the right which I refused to be tempted by his rudeness.

I stay calm without uttering a word. My "silence speaks" louder than words which made the man gentle and apologise to me without me saying any offensive words to me.

What message is being communicated through silence in your piece?

Peace is what is being communicated through silence in my piece. I chose to remain silent for the sake of peace otherwise the man and I would have ended up arguing which my silence speaks to make peace reign. Peace and harmony and also my silence kill the pride of the man who steps on me.

Who is silent in your interpretation and why?

The man who stepped on me is silent in my interpretation and the reason why he is silent is to avoid arguing or issues with him. Some people get angrier the more you try to talk back to them or correct them, so I chose silence over misunderstanding.

What happens if that silence is finally broken?

If that silence is finally broken I would have gotten mad at the man and we both would have entered into a hateful argument which would have escalated our issues.
