Assalamu Alaikum, I hope you are all well, Alhamdulillah I am also healthy and well. I am very happy to participate in the fourth week of Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 33. This week's theme is "SC-S33/W4-Movie Diaries challenge| Rewrite a movie ending" And a big thank you to @ruthjoe ma'am for organizing such a beautiful competition. The main theme of this competition is to change the last scene of a movie to your liking. It often happens while watching a movie that if the climax or the end of the movie had been different, the story would have left a greater impression on the mind. Today, I have chosen just such a world-famous masterpiece movie, whose mysterious last scene still raises many questions in the minds of the audience. The name of the movie is Inception. So let's get started....!

Inception, a 2010 science fiction and mind-bending thriller directed by Christopher Nolan, is one of the best creations in the genre. The main character of this movie is Dom Cobb, who is involved in a strange and risky profession of stealing ideas or inserting new ideas into people's subconscious minds. From the beginning to the end, this movie shows a tense tension, a difficult struggle between dreams and reality. And Cobb's only goal in life was an indomitable fight to get rid of the world of crime forever and return to his two children.

In the very last scene of this movie, we see that Dom Cobb has finally been able to return to his children. He spins his famous 'Totem'—or small totem—in his pocket on the table. However, according to the rules, if the totem keeps spinning, then it should be understood that he is still in the dream. And if this totem falls, then he has really returned to reality.

And especially here, the director very cleverly cuts the screen to black just before the totem stops and the movie ends. That is, the viewer does not know if Cobb is really in reality or is still stuck in the final stage of a dream.

​Why I do not like the ending of this movie:
As a viewer, this abrupt ending leaves me in a kind of fog. For a long time in this Inception movie, Cobb has struggled with his intense mental pain, guilt, and longing to see his own children. However, the film deserved a clear ending of peace or liberation in its final moments. This open ending may have made many think, but there is some dissatisfaction in the emotional fulfillment of the story.

Now, let's re-create the final scene of Dom Cobb and his gang's return from the dream world to the real world in my own way:

​After the spinning top on the table, Cobb no longer turns back, he goes straight to his own children. His two children run up to him with joy and hug him, and Cobb pulls them to his chest with utmost care. At this moment, the whole room is filled with a strange, soft light. Cobb can no longer hold back his tears; he touches his children, feels the familiar smell of their faces, which is truly impossible to recreate even in a perfect dream.

​At this point, the main focus of the camera slowly shifts to the little spinning top on the table. Now everyone present and the audience are eagerly waiting to see if the spinning top will stop or not?

Now, suddenly, the spinning top on the table slowly slows down. It even shook slightly from one side and finally fell face down on the table with a crunching sound.

However, the meaning of the Latin falling on the table is very clear that Dom Cobb has finally returned to his own real family, his real world. He is no longer in the web of any mimetic or subconscious level.

At that very moment, the shadow of fear left by his past disappears forever. Cobb hugs his children even tighter and whispers with a perfect smile, "Daddy is home, like forever. Just then the emotional music of Hans Zimmer in the background of the movie changes to a positive and relaxing tone and the screen slowly fades out.

The reasons why I think this ending, which I created in my own way, seems more logical and suitable for the movie are mentioned below:

• Emotional Closure: Dom Cobb deserved a clear mental peace and real reconciliation as the final reward for the path of atonement that he walked throughout the movie. Even though the open ending is interesting for a thriller, it completely satisfies the audience from the point of view of family emotions.

• End of Doubt: After the long-running dream vs. reality complex puzzle of this movie, giving the audience a clear truth makes the art of storytelling more mature. Especially, Latim's fall on the table means the end of all uncertainty and the joy of victory.

• Character Liberation: The main character of this movie, Cobb, has been wandering with a sense of guilt all his life. However, his liberation was not only a liberation of his own mind, but it also removes all tension or doubts from the mind of the audience forever.

To sum up, I firmly believe that this new ending to the movie Inception will leave a lasting and beautiful impression on the audience while maintaining the tension of suspense.
