An irrigation system is a methods of supplying water to crops in the fields when naturals rainfal is not enough.Farmers use diferent techniqus to provide water to plants so they can grow properly. In simple words irrigations means giving water to land artificially.There are many types of irrigation systems.One common type is surface irigation where water flows over the soil by gravity.This is often used in large fields and is simple but can waste water if not managd properly. Another type is drip irigation where water is given drop by drop directly to the roots of plants. This methods saves water and is very useful for fruits and vegetables. There is also sprinkler irrigation where water is sprayd into the air like rain using machines.This method is good for areas where water is limited and land is uneven.Irigation systems includes different parts like pipes pumps canals and tanks.These parts help in carrying water from its source likes rivers wells or reservors to the fields.Farmers choosed the type of irrigation system depnding on their land crop types and availabilty of water.Without irrigation farming becomes very difficults especialy in areas where rainfall is low or iregular.Irigation helps farmers to control the amounts and timing of water givens to crops which leads to betters growths and higher production.
