The modern time and the advantages of modern technology gives enormous opportunities to implement all of them in any area of our industry and of course, agriculture to make it to be more productive but also save and less harmful for people or for consumers.
The terminology hydroponic farming is something that nowadays became very popular. When we think about any plants we know that we need soil and of course, water, without water the soil becomes dry and plants receive no nutrients.
When I think about my time in school we had a subject biology and of course, as children we did few experiments. One of them I remember very well and it was with a onion bulb that we places in a little glass with water, that time we did not put any nutrients just water. The subject we had once a week that is why our onions stays there for weeks in water, every week we noticed that there were more roots growing but also that the onion starting to have green leaves. We were very excited about that.
In modern agriculture there is the same what farmers but also normal usual people who would like to plant something but did not have garden and can do at home.
There are benefits of hydroponic farming:
the plants could be placed in multiple level shelves so the large amount of plants on small space
the plants receive water enriched with nutrients, vitamins and minerals
light, using electricity plants receive light for 12-16 hours no matter if it is summer or winter
temperature, is also controlled using the electricity and timers that set up on certain temperature that plants require
if there any disease then it is easy to detect and to remove these plants or maybe replaced
anyone who would like to have little green corner even in their apartments can create such little area with shelves of plants
