SAS Sri Annapoorani Sweets—a sweet shop and restaurant—is located in our town. This establishment is not a newly opened shop; rather, it has been meticulously designed and set up in a modern style, featuring ample space. The exterior is adorned with beautiful neon signage designed to captivate passersby, while the interior boasts exquisite décor. Comfortable sofas and dining tables have been arranged to provide a pleasant seating environment for patrons. Numerous display racks—equipped with air conditioning and temperature-controlled units—are utilized to showcase a wide variety of sweets and savory snacks. Additionally, the interior lighting highlights photographs of the dishes and their corresponding menu listings.

Menu description: the type of food served and the top recommendations

Upon entering the premises, if we choose to sit down for a meal, a menu is provided to us. Furthermore, should we wish to purchase sweets or savory snacks for takeaway, price lists are conveniently placed right next to the respective items on the display racks; for instance, Laddoos are sold for ₹350 to ₹425 per kilogram, Mixture for ₹250 per kilogram, and Mysore Pak for ₹350 per kilogram.

Furthermore, a wide variety of sweets are sold here, including diverse Ladoo varieties such as Moothachoor Ladoo, Thanjavur Ladoo, and Rajasthani Ladoo (sourced from Coimbatore); sweets like Jalebi, Jangiri, Badusha, Milk Peda, Rasgulla, and Gulab Jamun; and various types of Halwa, such as Tirunelveli Halwa, Carrot Halwa, and Pumpkin Halwa. Additionally, different varieties of savory snacks—including Rice Murukku, Thattai Murukku, Meesai Murukku, and Ondram Murukku—as well as Sevai dishes, are available for purchase. Considering the standards of this restaurant—specifically its quality, service, and cleanliness—I would give it a rating of 4 out of 5.

Your personal experience and the level of service received

I have visited this place about three or four times so far. On every visit, it is my custom to sit down and have a bite to eat while purchasing my connection. On one such occasion, I ordered and ate a sandwich. The sandwich was served to us about 15 minutes after we placed our order; it was served hot and, at the same time, was extremely delicious. I felt that the service we received was well worth the money we paid. Similarly, on another visit, we ordered and enjoyed their Pav Bhaji; it, too, was served hot and was equally delicious. We were very pleased with the service they provided.

1. How long have you or your family been visiting this place?

As I mentioned earlier, I have visited this restaurant three or four times. Since it has only recently opened here, it didn't particularly amaze me; however, as it is located close to our home, we do visit whenever the need arises.

2. What motivated you to choose this specific place for Week 3?

The purpose of this post is to highlight this restaurant, which has recently opened in the area. Given that their service is of very high quality, I believe it is essential that their food also meets equally high standards of hygiene and quality. I hope that by promoting this establishment here, I can be of assistance to the public. Furthermore, having taken photographs during my visit, I am delighted to share them here.

3. What is your favorite dish at this place? If you had to describe the flavor in a single word, what would it be?

I really love their sweets—particularly their Mysore Pak and various types of Halwa. Whenever I visit this place, it is my custom to buy a quarter-kilogram to take home. This time, too, I returned with a quarter-kilogram each of Tirunelveli Halwa and Mysore Pak.

4. What would you say to someone who has never tried this food to convince them to go?

They have introduced a wide variety of Laddus here—varieties that I suspect many people have likely never tasted before. The pricing is reasonable, yet the taste is excellent and the quality is high. Therefore, I recommend that others give these sweets a try; I believe doing so will provide them with the satisfaction of having experienced something new.
