Contest||Recipe of the Day. Week No.113("Fried Karamcha Recipe")
Dear friends, I am delighted to participate in today's "Recipe of the Day: Week 113" contest. Today, I would like to share a recipe that I created myself: "Fried Karamcha" (Fried Bengal Currant). This dish is typically prepared using a simple method that requires very little oil or heavy spices, making it both healthy and delicious. It can be made quickly with just a few basic ingredients. It is particularly satisfying on hot days, and its slightly tart flavor helps stimulate the appetite.
This contest, organized by @steemit-Ironchef, is undoubtedly a wonderful initiative. I also wish to express my gratitude to @dasudi. I am sincerely thankful to them for organizing such an amazing recipe-based competition.
Here is: contest link. So, let's get started with the recipe---
Ingredients:
| Ingredients | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Karomcha(Bengal currant) | 1 bowl |
| Sugar | 1/2 cup |
| Salt | 1/3 tablespoon |
| Turmeric | A pinch |
| Oil | 1/2 tablespoon |
| Dried red chili | 1 |
| Red chili powder | 1 tablespoon |
| Water | 1/2 cup |
Methods for making recipe:
Step: 1
First, I will thoroughly wash and clean the Karomcha fruits with water.Next, I will cut the fruits in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. It is now ready to be used in a recipe, although many people also prepare dishes using the fruits with the seeds intact.
Step: 2
Next, I will heat a little oil in a frying pan and add the karamcha (Bengal currants). After stirring them briefly, I will add some water, cover the pan, and let them cook until tender.
Step: 3
Once the karamcha are cooked, I will add a small amount of salt and turmeric, followed by some sugar.
Step: 4
Now, I will add the red chili powder and cover it again.
Step: 5
Once the moisture from the karamcha (Bengal currants) has dried up, I will give it a quick stir and transfer it to a serving dish.
Final step:
And there you have it—my karamcha fry recipe is ready. It is incredibly delicious and appetizing, leaving a lingering, delightful taste on the palate long after the meal.
Image Presentation:
It can be served either hot or cold. Moreover, it pairs well with rice, roti, or other dishes, and can be stored and consumed over several days.
| So, dear friends, I hope you enjoyed the recipe I prepared today. I will be back again soon with a new recipe post. Until then, take care, everyone. May God keep you all healthy. |
