The Diary Game || A Visit to Delhi Sweets & Bakers for My Younger Brother's Engagement

When I reached there I saw many people already inside. Some were buying cakes. Some were waiting for bakery items. Others were packing sweets for family events. The shop looked clean and fresh. Bright lights made everything look more beautiful. I stopped for few minutes and looked at the sweets. Honestly I got confused. There were many kinds. Every tray looked fresh. Every sweet had its own color and style. It was not easy to decide buy what sweet.

First thing that caught my eye was fresh halwa. It was decorated with almonds pistachios and cashew nuts. It look really beautiful. I wished to taste it right there. Beside it I saw soft barfi with dry fruits inside. Then I looked at fresh gulab jamun. They were shining in sweet syrup. They looked very soft and delicious. I asked the shopkeeper about the fresh sweets. He smiled and told me everything was made fresh today. That made me feel relaxed. For a family function we always want good quality. Nobody wants to serve old sweets to guests.

After looking at everything I called my family. We talked for few minutes. Then we decided which sweets should be bought. The shop staff packed everything carefully. I liked the way they handled the boxes. They were working fast but still doing their job nicely. While waiting I kept watching other customers. Some people were laughing with their families. One small boy was asking his father to buy chocolates. One old man was buying sweets for guests. It felt nice. Every person there had some happy reason to visit the shop.

When my order was ready I paid the bill and picked up the boxes. Holding those boxes made me feel happy. I was thinking about my younger brother. Time passes so fast. It feels like yesterday we were playing together. Now his engagement day had arrived. That thought made me little emotional. On the way back home I was smiling. I was excited to show the sweets to everyone. When I reached home my family opened the boxes and checked everything. They liked the quality. Everyone looked satisfied. That made me feel relaxed because I wanted everything to be perfect.

Later these sweets were served to our guests. Alhamdulillah everyone enjoyed them. Many people even appreciated the taste and freshness. Heari those words made me really happy. It feel good when small responsibility goes well. For me this was not only a visit to a sweet shop. It became a memory.

Family events become special because of these small moments. Buying sweets. Sitting together. Smiling together. These things stay in our hearts for long time.
