Meher Hossain Street Food Shop

For this contest, I selected a small roadside shop that sells different kinds of laddus. This shop is located in the cloth market area of New Bazar, Parbatipur. It is not a permanent shop, and it can usually be seen in the afternoon. The owner lives a little far from the town, so after having lunch at home, he comes in the evening and sets up his shop beside the road. He stays there and sells until around 10 PM every night.

Shop owner and product

The owner is an honest and hardworking man. He is already quite old, but he still continues this business with dedication. I really respect his effort and sincerity. It is inspiring to see someone work so honestly for many years. He always behaves kindly with customers, and many people know him in the market.

This shop offers many types of laddus such as Kaun laddu, sesame laddu, peanut laddu, and more. He brings the laddus that he makes fresh on that day. The shop is arranged nicely beside the road, so it easily attracts people’s attention. The laddus look very beautiful, and they taste delicious too. Because the quality is so good, many people buy them every day. Some take them home, and some enjoy eating them near the shop.

When I went to the market, I noticed this shop and talked with the owner for some time. I asked him about his business, the types of laddus he sells, and how he makes them. From our conversation, I learned that he prepares everything carefully and does not use any harmful or fake ingredients. That is one big reason why his laddus taste so good and why people trust him.

The laddus are sold at small prices like 5 or 10 taka each, and if someone wants more, they can also buy by kilogram. The price is affordable for everyone. I personally like laddus very much, so I try to buy from this shop whenever I can. Sadly, I could not buy any on that day, but next time I visit the market, I will definitely buy some and take them home. I also shared some photos with you. These laddus look wonderful, and they are not commonly found in other shops.
