Today, I have come to participate in the Third week’s contest of Steemit Challenge Season 33 Week 4 - Beyond the Map: A Place That Changed Me. Our dear brother @pea07 always presents very easy, smooth, and beautiful contests. I want to start by thanking him from the bottom of my heart, focusing today’s review on participating in today’s contest.

For Muslims, the mosque serves as both a center for worship and a hub of public service for the surrounding community. It plays a vital role in stimulating the local economy, upholding dignity, and strengthening the bonds of fellowship among the faithful. Baiturrahim Buntul Mosque occupies a strategic location, making it an ideal stopover for motorists traveling between North Aceh and Bener Meriah Regency or vice versa.

The mosque is a magnificent two-story structure featuring sturdy pillars that create a dignified setting for worship. Situated in the highlands, the mosque enjoys cool, refreshing air. It has become a favorite stop for travelers on the KKA – Bener Meriah route, whether to perform prayers or simply to rest. Established in 1989 on approximately 1,600 square meters of waqf (endowed) land, it serves as the heart of local religious activities and worship.

Although the parking area is modest in size, it is kept clean, encouraging motorists to choose Baiturrahim Mosque for prayer and a brief respite. The ablution and restroom facilities are spacious and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable experience. The water is notably cold a refreshing novelty for visitors from outside Bener Meriah Regency, though locals consider the chilly water quite ordinary. Separate ablution areas for men and women are located side by side.
Baiturrahim Mosque is a place of worship offering a serene and comfortable atmosphere, located in the Kampung Gelampang Wih Tenang Uken area, Permata District, Bener Meriah Regency. Known for its simple yet peaceful design, the mosque is an ideal setting for solemn worship. The interior is well-equipped with excellent facilities, including red carpets for prayer.

Situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level, the mosque enjoys cool, refreshing air, eliminating the need for electric fans or air conditioning. Copies of the Quran are available for the congregation to read before and after prayers. The management has also designated a specific area for female worshippers; this space is partitioned with fabric, ensuring comfort and privacy during worship. These comprehensive facilities greatly enhance the comfort of the congregation.

The interior design of Baiturrahim Mosque is stunning and captivating, leaving visitors in awe. Like most mosques, it regularly hosts the five daily obligatory prayers and Friday prayers. Additionally, the mosque serves as a venue for commemorating major Islamic holidays such as the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday (Maulid), Isra Mi'raj, and the Hijri New Year as well as for various social activities.
A magnificent mosque dome
Personally, this was my first time visiting and worshipping at this magnificent mosque. A few days ago, I stopped by Baiturrahim Mosque with my beloved family to perform the Maghrib prayer while on a short trip to the center of Bener Meriah Regency. Given its beauty and the comfortable atmosphere it provides for worship, I highly recommend Baiturrahim Mosque to anyone passing through the area.
