SLC-S33/W3 | Beyond the Map : Then & Now

How are you all? I hope you have a wonderful time with your family. First of all, I would like to thank you @sohanurrahman I am grateful for the opportunity to gain experience in the development of historical roads along with modern development in this special SLC-S33/W3 event.

In today's expedition, I will take you all to an interesting historical street in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Where it was once a sewer in ancient times or during the Pakistan period. And I am very happy to share with you all a special experience about the beautiful story, historical review and current development here. Let us highlight some of the buildings and historical structures along with the life of the pedestrians along this historical street.

The capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka, is densely populated and has a lot of people living in it every day. You can also choose this Victory Memorial, which is located in the heart of Dhaka city.

Visitors can easily reach this special place with great pleasure. For example, from Gabtoli, you can reach Vijay Smroni along Tejgaon Road via Shishu Mela. Moreover, you can come directly in front of the Prime Minister's Office via Mohakhali to reach this special place. Also, if you want to come from Gulistan, you can easily get down at Vijay Smroni by metro rail. It will be a very pleasant and comfortable journey for you.

I am feeling bored at home especially in the afternoon. So I thought I would take a little walk from Bijoy Sarani. I left after noon. I visited the huge circular buildings as I went. Moreover, I saw a gathering of people here and there was traffic. However, I spent my time there happily from afternoon till evening.

I would like to tell you about the history of this special place. Especially in the eighties, Farmgate Khamarbari and Rokeya Sarani, as the heart of Dhaka city, were connected to this special road with the Victory Memorial. You can say 1988 as the year. This special road has more historical significance. For example, this huge circular Victory Memorial road was connected to the east and west. Moreover, in 1971, this special place was named Vijay Sarani in memory of the freedom fighters. On the day of victory, the freedom fighters rejoiced and this special place was a day of tears of joy along with tears of tears. Which is memorable from age to age. That is why this place is more memorable and to maintain its historical significance, the spirit of rural Bengal and the historical nature of the Liberation War have been presented through drawings on the walls. Moreover, this place still carries the memory of the freedom fighters through the architecture of fighter planes.

When I come here and enjoy everything around me, those memorable events make my heart flutter. The joyous time of victory is celebrated here after the death of thousands of people.

Here I enjoyed the video about the transportation of people and the livelihood of people with special structures. This particular Bijoy Samrani Mor can be said to be the attractive and memorable heart of Dhaka city. Moreover, people choose this particular Dhaka city for earning a living due to the improved transportation management of people. Various structures have been built on the roads of this particular city, which can be called development. For example, the Trust Filling Station is important for the cars of this city. Moreover, there is the Bangladesh Military Museum. These particular roads can be reached quickly and in a short time to different places in Dhaka city. Moreover, there are various banks, development centers, multi-storey buildings, human habitation, Novo Theater, Tejgaon Airport Training Center. This particular road has the highest movement of people. It can be said to be one of the important cities for the visitors coming here and the local people living here.

After the liberation war in 1971, this entire area had become a sewer. Since 1980, work was done to repair the dirt road from the east to the west by digging the soil from Farmgate to Khamarbari and Bijoy Sarani intersection. Moreover, it was a war-torn country at that time, so the people of the country were very busy with the workplace and agricultural management in order to earn a living and survive. Slowly, when people normalized their working life. Then the government planned to build these special roads. From 2000 to 2017, the roads here have become very developed and dynamic. Then slowly, these special places including the structure, human habitation, airport, road activities have been developed a lot. Now, in 2026, the current roads and special circular building structures and various development centers including the museum, Novotheater, Toshakhana, etc. have been included.

There is a Zia Udyan that can be seen in the past. Moreover, this special fighter plane is still one of the memorable ones in this area. People look at this special sign very carefully and even by traveling or driving around, this special place is still memorable to everyone. Which people still feel the real picture of the past. This special fighter plane is still on display in the middle of Vijay Sarani Road and highlights the memorable events of 1971 to the people. Moreover, the interesting thoughts of various freedom fighters within the walls are very memorable.

After visiting the place, any person or any visitor can have an important idea about the heritage of Bangladesh and all the development arrangements of this region including this special structure. Moreover, this special fighter plane catches the attention of the visitors and gives the visitors an important idea about the interesting memories of 1971. So it is a place where visitors can experience the joy of victory and the tears of the fatherless mother and the cries of the childless mother.

Moreover, visitors can experience new things about some of the tourist attractions here, including the current structures, especially Zia Udyan. Tradition always carries education, in which visitors have the opportunity to gain great experiences. Moreover, I think it is very important to take care of this special fighter jet and convert this special structure into a more digital form. This is what I want for the future generations. I want them to preserve this special place along with the memorable exhibition spaces here and if possible, continue to make efforts to make this place more digital and develop it. As the heart of Dhaka city, the traffic system here should be preserved more excellently. Because different people, cars, rickshaws, etc. move on this four-way road. So, my request for future generations is that there should be more development in traffic. Moreover, the railways, roads, multi-storey buildings, airports, people's residences and sightseeing places should be preserved, visited and travel development should be further improved, this is my message to future generations.

In my opinion, this attractive Bijoy Sarani heart of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is special for future generations. I think that future generations should know about the memorable events of the Liberation War and the independence of the country. Because this place was an area full of blood, tears, death and sorrow. Moreover, in order to expand the memory of the freedom fighters among everyone, I think this special place should be exposed to everyone about its heritage and daily discussions in memory of the freedom fighters or its historicity should be remembered. I want future generations and all people of the present era to remember this place more deeply.
