Today I am going to share my experience of visiting Unimart Metro Satarkul, a modern medium-sized supermarket outlet located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Unimart Metro is a compact version of the well-known Bangladeshi supermarket chain Unimart, designed to provide quick and convenient shopping for busy urban lifestyles.
Although Unimart is already a familiar brand, I believe many people are still unaware of the Metro concept because there are currently only two notable outlets, Mirpur and Satarkul. I visited the Satarkul outlet, which is located opposite United City and United International University (UIU). I have visited this outlet twice with my friend Rumon, and each visit has been a pleasant experience.
One of the most interesting features of this outlet is its Friday Haat, a special weekly market held every Friday morning. Unfortunately, I could not visit on that day, but my friend shared several photos with me, and it looked like a wonderful initiative for local shoppers.

Unimart Metro Satarkul is located opposite United City and United International University (UIU) in Satarkul, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The location is easy to reach by bus, CNG, ride-sharing services, motorcycle, private car, or rickshaw. Since it is situated slightly away from the busy main road, visitors can enjoy a more peaceful shopping environment.

Why do you think this place you have visited is a need-to-know place in your community?
I think this outlet deserves more attention because it offers almost everything needed for daily life in one place while maintaining a calm and organized environment.
Unlike many crowded supermarkets in Dhaka, this outlet provides a comfortable shopping experience with less congestion. Since there are only a few Unimart Metro outlets in the country, many people may not even know that this concept exists.
It is an excellent option for nearby residents, university students, office workers, and families who want to complete their shopping quickly without visiting multiple stores.
From my own experience, I feel this supermarket is still unknown to many people because the Metro concept has only a few outlets in Bangladesh. After visiting the Satarkul branch, I genuinely felt that it deserves more recognition within the community because it offers a modern, comfortable, and hassle-free shopping experience.

Inside the supermarket, I found an impressive variety of products, including:

- Indoor plants
- Personal care products
- Packaged foods and bakery items
There are many more products available, and listing all of them would require an entire post. Everything is neatly arranged on the shelves, making it easy for customers to find what they need.
Besides shopping, visitors can enjoy a clean environment, secure parking, digital payment facilities, seasonal promotional campaigns, and weekly community activities such as the Friday Haat. These facilities make the supermarket more than just a place to buy groceries.

Special Attraction – FIFA Football Fever Challenge
During my recent visit, Unimart Metro organized a special promotional event called "Unimart Football Fever" for the FIFA World Cup.
Customers who purchased a certain amount received a ticket to participate in a mini football challenge.

The game was simple but exciting. Each participant had five chances to kick the ball into a small goalpost. Scoring three successful goals earned a free prize from Unimart.
I found this campaign very creative because it made shopping much more enjoyable and interactive for customers.

What do you find most attractive or interesting during your visit to the place?
Environment & Shopping Experience
The shopping environment impressed me the most.
The entire supermarket is fully air-conditioned, making shopping comfortable even during hot weather. The store is clean, bright, and well organized. Every section is arranged systematically, allowing customers to move around easily.
Unlike many supermarkets located beside busy roads, this outlet is situated in a comparatively quiet area. As a result, shopping here feels much more relaxing.
The peaceful surroundings make the overall experience enjoyable.

What I Liked Most
The thing I liked most was the combination of environment & facilities.
Everything needed for daily life is available under one roof. The peaceful location, organized shelves, modern facilities, and friendly environment make shopping enjoyable instead of stressful.
I also appreciated the creative promotional activities like the Football Fever Challenge, which made the visit more memorable.
Personally, I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere the most. Unlike many busy supermarkets in Dhaka, I never felt rushed while shopping here. Everything was neatly organized, making the entire visit relaxing and enjoyable

I visited this outlet twice with my friend Rumon. Both visits were enjoyable because the environment was calm, the products were well organized, and shopping was hassle-free.
We spent quite a long time exploring different sections of the supermarket. Although we did not visit during the Friday Haat, seeing the Football Fever event made our visit more exciting.
During my visit, I also learned about the Friday Haat, a weekly market organized every Friday morning. Although I have not experienced it personally yet, my friend Rumon shared photos and stories about the event.
Friday haat offer fresh products directly to customers, making it a meaningful initiative for the surrounding community. I hope to visit again on a Friday to experience this unique market myself.
Overall, it was a very satisfying shopping experience.
