Where is this place located, how can visitors get there and when did you visit it?

This place is located in Saidpur Golahat. This place is located 1 kilometer away from Saidpur city. To reach here, visitors have to get down from the station and hire an autorickshaw. I have visited this place several times. I went to this place once a few days ago. I went to this place that day in the afternoon. It was 1 pm then.

What is the history of this place and why is it important for your city or town?

In 1863, two local residents named Haji Baker Ali and Haji Muku built the mosque with thatch and bamboo in the Isbag area of ​​​​Sayedpur city. Later, with the help of the locals, it was converted into a tin house. Later, the people of the area started the construction of the mosque. In 1920, the first part of the mosque was paved under the initiative of Haji Hafiz Abdul Karim. Marble and china clay were brought from Kolkata for the design and work. This is its design. In 1965, the second part of the southern side of the mosque was paved. To enhance the beauty of the mosque, fragments of china plates and glass fragments were placed on the walls of the mosque. This method is called 'sugar grain work'. From here the mosque got its name Chini Masjid. This Chini Masjid is the oldest and most visited place in our Saidpur city. People from different parts of Bangladesh come to Saidpur to see this Chini Masjid. This is one of the oldest monuments of Saidpur. It has been highlighted in the history of Saidpur. This mosque can be called the soul of the city of Saidpur.

How has this place changed over the years, or what traces of its past can still be seen today?

The mosque I am posting about is a spectacular mosque. This mosque was built in 1863. This mosque has been renovated several times. Porcelain tiles and pieces of glass have been used to draw designs in this mosque. These designs have been carved on the walls of this mosque using porcelain plates and pieces of glass. The designs that can still be seen in this mosque as a symbol. The design that was made in 1863. Those designs still survive today.

What can visitors experience or learn by visiting this place today?

The designs of this mosque are beautiful. They will fascinate the visitors. Various designs have been made in this mosque using porcelain plates and glass pieces. Every year many students from different areas come to visit this mosque. They completely tour this mosque. And they observe the carvings of this mosque well. We learn from the style of work of artists of the decade. The designs of the old era were much more beautiful to look at than our modern era designs.

In your opinion, why should this place be preserved and remembered for future generations?

This is an old monument of the city of Saidpur. Which was built in 1863. Till now this mosque has survived in our city of Saidpur. It is our responsibility to preserve this mosque. That is because it will remain as a monument for our future generations. There are many old monuments in different parts of our country. Some of these monuments have been erased due to human negligence. Some of the monuments still remain. Among these, this Chini Mosque of our city of Saidpur is still surviving. Because the people of the area love this mosque very much. And they periodically build its version. People of other areas recognize the city of Saidpur around this mosque.
