I want to talk about my aunt's business in Jikwoyi, Abuja. My Aunty is a businesswoman who owns a local restaurant in two different locations in Jikwoyi, Abuja, which I think is best for me to use this means and promote her business.

Where is this food location situated?

This is the business of my aunt, with whom I am staying. Her business is located in Jikwoyi phase 2, Abuja. It is a business she has been doing for years, from which she has been able to sponsor her children to the university, take good care of her family, and do a lot of things for herself, her loved ones, and her friends.

The business is open every day except on Sundays because she goes to church and rests on Sundays. The business is a local restaurant that attracts a lot of people because its food is usually yummy and good, and the business is situated in a good and busy area.

What food or drink is this place known for?

The food in this place is rice and stew, rice and beans, swallow with vegetables soup, draw soup, garri eba, tuwo shinkafa, tuwo masara, and pounded yams. Like the food that I have seen being eaten in my aunt's local restaurant is rice stew and beans. In the food, I slice some carrots into it because I like eating carrots.

Why is this location popular among local people or visitors?

This location is popular among local people and visitors because the location where my aunt's local restaurant is situated is a place where things in the town are happening. It is located at the business hub of the town, and also, my aunt's local restaurant became popular because her food is good, well-tasted, and refined. She is well, and she is a clean woman that like keeping her things neat.

What was your personal experience during the visit?

This is a place that I have been visiting most often before I left for work. As someone who has worked in the place, I can say that most of the customers prefer buying things on credit rather than paying immediately after eating, and if you ask them for payment, they will begin to tell you stories, which is not good for the survival of the business.

Also, some of the customers like causing problems like eating without paying, or being confused about what to buy, talking to anyone, creating issues, and acting like they are always right. However, my aunt often says that we should always respect customers and act as if they are right, even when they're not, which I have learned and experienced in the business premises of my aunt.

How does this place reflect the food culture of your area?

This place reflects the food culture of my area because it sells what the people can afford to buy, and it is constructed in a local way to let the people know that it is a local restaurant that fits the categories of people in the area. Also, the food culture of the area is tuwo shinkafa and tuwo masara, which are cultural foods that are sold in the restaurant.
