My Diary for the Day
It was another cold morning today, it has been raining heavily since the previous day, all through the night and here we are on a new day. The day kicked off for me around 6 am. I began the day with my silent time and taking care of some chores inside the house, it takes longer than usual because I tried to reorganize some scattered stuff.
I eventually got myself ready for the day around 10 am after I have completed the chores, taken my bath, and breakfast has been consumed. At this time, I navigated my browser to my Steemit account where I began compiling my weekly report as a Country Representative from Nigeria, the process involves gathering a few of my activities over the week from some past articles and checking for other stats.
I had taken a brief break in the process and utilized the steem4nigeria community account for curation after I noticed that the account's mana is fully recharged. I ensured the account has properly been utilized to support Nigerians then I returned to writing my report. The report was ready and published around 1 pm. I spared some time to interact with a few articles on Steemit and reply to some comments on my articles.
I have been working on a few research over the weekend, the report has been in stages to my friend's dad and I have just continued with it so that I can have another to give him some updates at the end of the day, it's a wonderful educational time spent on the Internet.
The plan to visit the market was part of my schedule for the day because I have run out of some supplies inside the house and being someone that makes most of his meal in the house, it's important I get some stuff. The downpour continues as such my plan to step out around 4 pm was hindered as such I waited till the rain paused around a few minutes to 6 pm.
I stepped out to get a few things from the local market but this time, it was at a market closer than the usual one, this is because it's getting late and the weather is one other factor I considered so that I don't get drenched by the rain. The market is named Alekuwodo situated at What3words Location just around Nelson Mandela's Freedom park in my town.

I have drawn out a few things I needed from the local market and they are; rice, beans, beef, and other stuff. I moved to those sections which I will be showing below.

Beef at the Vendors place | What3words Location
Above is the image of the beef I have gotten at the market which cost 2,000 NGN (12.7 STEEM). I left the place and headed to the section where other foodstuffs are sold.

Rice, Beans, Garri, and other Foodstuff Stall | What3words Location
I purchased 3 Kg of Rice from the Stall above which cost 2,200 NGN (14 STEEM) and brown beans of 1.5 Kg that cost 1,400 NGN (8.9 STEEM). Then, I got green peas and carrots worth 200 NGN (1.3 STEEM).

I left the market and just a few minutes after I boarded a public transport, the rain started again and the intensity was greater than earlier. Being a public transport, I alighted at the nearest bus stop to my place while it was still raining, it hits me hard as I found my way to the nearest vegetable stall where I had planned to get some stuff before. I utilized my time for purchase at the stall to also take a shield against the rain. It was late at this time.

My total purchase from the vendor was 500 NGN (3.2 STEEM). In essence, let's see a more simplified view of the stuff I got during my time out today:
| Stuff | Price (NGN/STEEM) |
|---|---|
| Beef | 2,000/12.7 |
| Rice | 2,200/14 |
| Beans | 1,400/8.9 |
| Carrots/Green Peas | 200/1.3 |
| Pepper/Tomatoes/Onions | 500/3.2 |
| Total | 6,300 NGN/40.1 STEEM |
I found my way home when the rain had become less intensified and got home drenched. Quite fortunate, there was power supply at that moment as such I have the pepper products blended, cooked the meat, and had some kind of jollof rice prepared for the night.

Dinner | What3words Location
I eventually had a late dinner around 9:10 pm, I couldn't watch my favorite TV drama at 8:30 pm because I was not quite stable to enjoy the show as I was very occupied in the kitchen to get my dinner ready. After dinner, I took my cold medicine and spent some time watching skits on YouTube before I decided to sleep around 10:30 pm.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the day was a good one for me and I enjoyed every bit of the activity, ranging from my time on Steemit to the one spent outdoor to get a few things in the local market. I can say I enjoyed the feeling of the rainfall on me, you can imagine how the water move down my head to my mouth and I had to spit many times, that's quite interesting for me, lol. I hope you had a great time reading through my article today, thanks for the time spared, lovelies.
