"SLC31-W2" // Steem Expedición, Joyas Ocultas y Secretos Locales: Historia y Patrimonio
Steemian Friends,
In the busy city life of our country's capital, Dhaka, some places are not just a structure, but a feeling. One such important place is the Mothso Bhaban and the round square in front of it. This place witnesses the movement, work, and city of thousands of people every day. People wait for some time to come to the capital, Dhaka, to see the place. The building has ten floors. I have shown this important place of our country below through the Steem-atlas pin code through the challenge. Since the offices of ministers and secretaries are here, I could not share the pictures of the inside.

In front of the Mothso Bhaban(Nighttime photo)
The Mothso Bhaban is an important office of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock of Bangladesh. It is not just an administrative building, but the center of development and planning of the fisheries sector of Bangladesh. Various decisions related to fish production, conservation, and development of the country are taken here. Although the building is not very grand to look at, its importance is very high. Every day, numerous officials, employees, and ordinary people come and go here for various purposes. All decisions related to the fish of various rivers and seas of our country are taken here.

The busiest square in front of the Fisheries Building
There is a roundabout right in front of Mothso Bhaban, which is one of the important traffic points in Dhaka. This roundabout plays an important role in controlling the movement of vehicles coming from different directions. Since it is the junction of Shahbagh on one side and Bangladesh Supreme Court Road via Kakrail and Gulistan on the other, there is always pressure from vehicles here. I record pictures and videos from the footover bridge of the roundabout using my mobile. The name of this roundabout is the Mothso Bhaban roundabout.

A huge tree with heritage value next to the Fisheries Building
When office hours start in the morning, this area becomes even busier. A scene of hustle and bustle is created with buses, private cars, rickshaws, and motorcycles. Traffic policemen do their duty and try to control the traffic jam. Although traffic jams sometimes occur, this familiar scene of the city is a part of daily life here. The huge trees in front of the Mothso Bhaban carry the tradition. The huge trees have beautified the environment of the entire area.

Banners have been placed in front of the Fisheries Building to raise awareness on the occasion of Fisheries Week.
There are also small shops, tea stalls, and food stalls around this circular square. Office-going people or pedestrians stand here to drink tea, have a light snack, and rest for some time. These small moments bring a kind of relief to the life of the city. The place is very important for the lower middle class, middle class, and people coming to the capital, Dhaka, for various work to eat food at low prices and rest. I came to visit Ramna Park and rest here for some time.

Traffic jam around Matsya Bhavan in the evening after office hours
This area takes on a new look in the afternoon. When people leave for home after work, the square once again becomes crowded. As the sky changes color at sunset, the city lights come on, and in that light, the Mothso Bhaban and its surroundings take on a different beauty. I took a few pictures of Mothso Bhaban in the evening.
Finally, the Mothso Bhaban and the square in front of it are not just a place, but a symbol of the busy life of Dhaka. Here, daily activities, people's stories, and the rhythm of the city come together. This place reminds us that a city is not only built of bricks and stones, but also of people's lives, feelings, and daily stories. So I have shown the historical place of our country's capital, Dhaka, through the Steemit challenge.
First of all, the Mothso Bhaban is mainly known as the head office of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. From here, various policies, plans, and development activities of the fisheries sector of Bangladesh are carried out. Bangladesh is a riverine country, so fish and aquatic resources are related to our economy, nutrition, and culture. For this reason, the Fisheries Building is not just an office building, but is related to the country's food security and economic development. In particular, a lot of foreign exchange is earned by exporting our country's national fish, Hilsa. A regulation is made every year for Hilsa fishing.
Secondly, the circular square in front of the Matsya Bhavan is considered a well-known landmark of Dhaka. This circular square plays an important role in controlling the traffic of the city and is also used as a meeting place for people at times. For many citizens of Dhaka, this place is a familiar part of daily life. This place acts as a guide for people from different parts of the country.
Today, the Mothso Bhaban area is still preserved and used as an active and important administrative center. However, "preservation" here does not mean maintaining it as a historical monument, but as an effective government infrastructure. Fisheries officers from every region of the country are trained.

Vehicles are moving in front of the Fisheries Building, following traffic rules.
Yes, this place is still fulfilling its original purpose. From here, the country's fisheries development, research, and policy-making activities are carried out. Fish quality control, licensing, research, and supervision activities are carried out. Important national-level projects such as the Hilsa Development Project are being implemented from here.
Standing here, I felt like this is the place where an important sector of our country is managed. The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock works from here, and it is nice to think that plans are taken from here so that the people of our country get good food and fish production increases. Seeing all the hustle and bustle around, the traffic, the people going to and from the office, it seems that the place is very busy. Especially when you see the round square in front, it seems that it is not just a part of the road, but a familiar symbol of Dhaka. Standing here, you can feel the pace of the city. Another thing that I like very much is that this place is not just an office, it is a sign of the development of our country. Since we are a fish-dominated country, it is a matter of pride for us to have such a place.
I would describe the strength of the Mothso Bhaban area in three words:
- Development: The country's fisheries sector moves forward from here.
- Responsibility: Important decisions and work are made here.
- Vitality: The hustle and bustle around makes the place come alive.
