Hello friends!

Before we begin, I want to sincerely appreciate the Steemit team once again for this wonderful opportunity. Thank you for creating a platform where culture, creativity, and food come alive.

Welcome to Week 3 of this exciting journey: “My Taste, My Culture” (Expressing Culture Through Taste).

🎉 What is this week about? — Festive Foods

In the previous weeks, we explored our identity through food and even crossed borders to experience other cultures.

This week, we celebrate…
👉 Festive foods that bring people together.

Festive meals are more than just food.
They are a symbol of:

  • Celebration
  • Joy
  • Togetherness
  • Special moments

These are the meals we prepare during:

  • Holidays
  • Family gatherings
  • Celebrations and special occasions

They carry emotions, memories, and tradition.

🍛 My Festive Dish

For this week, I present a classic and beloved festive meal in my culture:

👉 White Rice, Fried Chicken, Coleslaw, and Tomato Stew.

IMG_4606.jpeg

This meal is widely enjoyed in Nigerian homes, especially during celebrations like Christmas, birthdays, weddings, and special family gatherings.

It is made with:

  • Well-cooked white rice
  • Rich and flavorful tomato stew
  • Crispy fried chicken
  • Fresh and creamy coleslaw

We love this combination because it is both satisfying and celebratory.

In my culture, this meal represents:

  • Celebration – it is commonly served during festive occasions.
  • Abundance – the variety on the plate reflects plenty.
  • Hospitality – it is often served to guests.
  • Joy and togetherness – shared among family and loved ones.

👉 This is not just a meal—it is a symbol of happiness and celebration.
