Why Start a Small Business - Part 3
Dear Steemian Friends,
Starting a small business when you're unhappy with your job can be a game-changer, offering freedom, fulfillment, and financial upside. Here I am telling why you should consider starting a small business.
Ditch the 9-to-5 or 6 job and managing your boss because as your own boss, you set your schedule, choose clients, and decide how to run things. This autonomy reduces daily stress and burnout. I have done a lot of research and studies that a number of workers are disengaged at jobs they dislike, leading to health issues like anxiety.
Entrepreneurship flips that script, letting you align work with your passions. so if you are tired of mind and soul crushing tasks a small business lets you monetize hobbies or skills, like baking, freelancing graphic design, or tutoring. This intrinsic motivation boosts happiness and productivity as you create value on their terms rather than fulfilling corporate quotas.
You have unlimited earning potential compared to salaried jobs, which have a limit, or you can say they cap your income as businesses scale. Start small with low overhead, like an online store as available in your country, and grow through reinvestment.
You know successful business persons earn their previous salaries within 2-3 years and supplement your income. You should keep in your mind that running a business hones marketing, finance, and problem-solving skills far beyond any job training.
There is no doubt that failures teach resilience, boosting your confidence but mind it you will have to face them. Networking expands your circle, opening doors to mentors and opportunities and building skills and proper resilience.
You have to create something lasting, maybe a family venture or community impact that jobs rarely offer. I have worked from home, traveled, or scaled remotely, especially post-pandemic. I am not sure about you, but here tax perks like deductions for home offices are added benefits.
Of course, starting a business requires grit and risk management, so if you validate this idea, do it wisely. Yet I assure you, for a dissatisfied employee, it's a sure way to empowerment.
You have added benefits like enjoying your work-life on your terms, family time, or hobbies without guilt. But make sure greed of earning more sometimes can work in reverse direction.
You should innovate freely, solving real problems creatively. I am not sure if you have access to loans, but for us Indian entrepreneurs, we have enough such facilities. So get into business and reclaim purpose, turning dissatisfaction into daily excitement and long-term wealth. All the best!
