Welcome to the 38th tutorial in my Steemit tutorial series. In this tutorial, I will explain some crucial cases of Copyright infringement which is difficult to detect. People use so many techniques to get undetected from copyright issues. I am sharing some of those from my experience and study. So, the impact is very bad in blogging & social media platform like steemit as it is undetected with software or program. I shall also provide tips to avoid them and contribute positively to Steemit and any other writing or content sharing platform. So, let start to understand it better.
Copyright violation is not always simple to see. Some cases are clear like movie piracy or crack software. But many cases are hidden and not easy to catch. These are very crucial because they happen silently. Most people even not know they are breaking rule. One case is remixing content. People take part of song or video and put in their own work. They change style, add new sound and finally mix it. It look original but still belong to someone else. TikTok and Instagram have many such cases. Users copy music or clip without credit. It is not possible always to track original source using software as most of the part of it is modified widely.
Another hidden case is plagiarism in education. Students and researchers copy line or idea from book or article. They sometimes change few words and show as own. This is hard to detect. Software check help but not always catch. This is serious problem in education sector. Many plagiarism remain hidden and academic honesty break. Detection of Design copy is also very hard. Fashion and graphics face this much. The copy may not look fully same but style is taken. Idea is generated from a art then done it by the copier. Proving in court is very hard. Small change in color or shape make it look different. Still it is copy in reality. Sometimes they copy from old printed books as there is no soft version of it in the internet. They try to copy from very old printed newspaper. As the generation is passed away, many cases they are undetectable.
Software code is another big example. Developers take small part of code and add in their program. They not give credit. Since code can write in many way, it is difficult to show copy. Open-source reduce problem but misuse is still there. Images and art also suffer. People take photo from internet and use free. Some crop or edit and think it is fine. But real creator still have rights. Many edited picture not get detected.
Marketing field also have this. Companies copy slogan or product description. They change some words but idea same. Detecting this is not easy always. Legal case also take long time to prove the matter strongly. On the other hand people are not looking at other if it is not a big company. Traditional art and culture face worst issue. Community create music or craft over many years. Some big company use it in product without ask. No single owner exist so copyright become unclear. Misuse happen without detection.
After avobe discussion now we can get the idea that the impact of these hidden case is very serious. Creators lose income and name. Many stop working because of no credit. Industries also lose value. If this continue, creativity go down. Countries try to make system better. Steemit has its own copyright issues policy. Copyright is strictly prohibited in steemit. People must respect copyright. Cases that are not easy to detect are more harmful. Try to maintain moral value on you and respect for originality and in this way we must grow for safe creative world.
