Another life.

Sometimes people think the world revolves around them, that they're always in the public eye, that they're very important, that all eyes are on them, and that they must devote their lives to ensuring that it always is.

But this is a dead end, because there's another life in which they exist entirely, or almost entirely, only a kinetic mass that periodically creates some air movement, and they're ignored because they have so much else to do.

Even after hearing a magpie's cry, people sometimes think it's some kind of sign, specifically for them, and they can't imagine that the magpie could be screaming from joy, having found a treat, or from anger, because someone else saw that treat too.

But, lol, sometimes, as they say, you feel in your gut that someone is watching you, but, again, this can't be true; to a bird, you just look a little suspicious.
