My Home Solar power got visited for the final time prior to the installation of the bi-directional meter which is the next final step

"Grid Imported" is our Typical consumption which we will have to pay per month while "Home consumed" is what we consume when A/C is used while the Sun is up. I am excited to see the numbers of "Grid Exported" after the net metering goes into play, hopefully this coming few weeks or within this month of June 2026 before it ends.
Two weeks ago on June 1st the electric company personnel visited our Solar set-up system which we are applying for the net metering service, had carried-out its final inspection/survey as part of the process for this rather tedious process because it had cost us much time for it to get done the right way considering that we are getting assisted by the contractor about the process of having the net-metering for my home grid-tied solar power.
The personnel told my Mother to contact the solar power contractor because he already done the survey which we did by my father calling my brother so that my brother can tell it to the Solar contractor. It is because it was my brother which I had made to apply for the Solar power system of my new house while it is being built from the last few months of 2025. Itty was the same Solar power contractor which also installed his own grid-tied Solar power with net metering.
Now I am hopeful that the bi-directional meter will get installed this month because I don't think that there are many household applying for net-metering because of its cost especially now that the economy is bad due to the turmoil in the middle east which is making the cost of everything here and in the rest of the world very expensive.
I believe that the cost now for Solar set-up had gone up significantly because of that as well as the cost of building a house. So it is like a blessing in disguise for me to build the house and had the solar power system for it to get done before prices had gone up.
The same with the installation of our water softener system which is also benefitting my sister's house (family) next door because we share the same water line service. It is a good thing because her husband was the one replacing the filters so we do not need to hire someone to do it, I just have to provide replacement filters for it although we were given a free few filters by the water filtration contactor until it lasts. The filters themselves are not that expensive and I can buy a set which last for months. The salt in the other had gets expensive because of the delivery fee exceeding the value price of the salt, like the delivery fee for a 50 Kg solar salt with a price of 750 PHP is 1400 PHP.
Anyway, my goal for getting the net-metering option for our grid-tied solar power system of my house is to achieve a "zero-bill" charge, meaning that we ail not pay anymore electric bill because of the power credits we would get from the power being generated by my solar panels is already more than enough to pay for our home consumption.
It will mean also that we will enjoy the extended use of A/C for our rooms and the free utilization of other electric appliances like the rice cooker, the washing machine, and water heater in the bathroom particularly during the cold months of the year although I was using it everytime I get a shower which really enhanced my quality of life together with my parents thanks be to God.
Well the only downside of this type of setup, the grid-tied that is, is that it is truly grid-tied, I mean when the grid is down we also have no power for the house even when the sun is up. It is because to prevent the Solar power system to electrify the powerlines outside the house and potentially or certainly fry the maintenance guy which might fix the powerlines.
So that is the trade-off but we seldom get power interruptions here in our place which is why it is just ideal for me to opt-in for the grid-tied solar power system because we will definitely not needing much the battery which is very expensive although I want one but it is not anymore practical to have it because of the aforementioned reason plus I will have to potentially be needing another type of Inverter system, the hybrid one which again will raise the cost of my Solar power system.
