📷Playing photographer #26, 🪫Battries🔋

This week we are photographing batteries! What could be easier? It’s not like a butterfly that keeps flying away—you don’t have to chase it 😄 Batteries are something everyone has, right?

You can learn about the contest here and if you don’t have time this round—don’t worry. Soon there will be a new item and a new theme for photos.

As you can see in the photo, there is a whole “zoo” of batteries. Most of them are AA and AAA. There are both “single-use” batteries and rechargeable ones in the same sizes. I still want to buy more AAA rechargeable batteries.

But that’s not all—I also have many CR2032 batteries somewhere. These are the small ones used in a computer BIOS.

A few years ago, I also bought these storage boxes (I think I have three of them, in different colors). They are very good for keeping batteries and accumulators organized.

In a normal laptop (especially older ones), there are battery cells like these. Usually only one cell fails, but people throw away the whole pack, which is a pity.

Тому з таким перехідником батарейки/акумулятори ААА вигідніші. хоч і матимуть меншу ємність-адже в них менший розмір.

This photo is not mine—it’s from the internet. But I have adapters like these. I bought them a long time ago. They let you use a smaller battery (AAA) as a bigger one (AA), but not the other way around. So AAA batteries can be more practical, even though they have less capacity because they are smaller.

Of course, you can measure battery capacity with a multimeter. But this kind of tester is very convenient to quickly check if a battery is new, still good, or already “dead”.

I also have these big batteries! They can replace thousands of small ones. Right now, we don’t have power outages, so they just sit on the windowsill. But who knows what will happen tomorrow… because of the war, our energy system is badly damaged, and in the summer heat it may become difficult again.
