The government allows known poisons into our food supply...for a price of course!

Many people in this country (and many others) are avoiding gluten, to avoid gastric distress; due to gluten sensitivity. This is a massive, and growing, problem; that promises to get much worse!

There is now peer reviewed science paper to support the use of Round Up weed killer as a known cause of Gluten Intolerance known as Cilliac disease.

Round up (glyphosate) is used to kill weeds, but in order for it not to also destroy all the food crops, those crops have to be modified such that the Round Up will not kill those plants too. These GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) seeds are now over 80% of all corn grown in the USA, and a Majority of many other food crops.

Farmers are now using glyphosate not only to control weeds but also to dry down wheat, rice, sugarcane and other crops just before harvest, resulting in higher residues in the foods we eat.

Our Government allows this, even though Round Up (glyphosate) is a Know cancer producing chemical! So for bribe money, they are allowing companies to poison our food supply with carcinogens....

I have a close friend who has gluten intolerance problems who recently traveled to Rome. He planned to eat gluten free there, but when he got there, they didn't have gluten free menus! But, they also do not allow GMO's in country. He was able to safely eat pizza and pasta while he was there, and he had a great trip.

GMO seeds grow plants that are actually poisonous to insects, due to a modification that allows the plant to make it's own insecticide. So more crops can be harvested, because the crop is unsafe for insects to eat!

THIS is our modern recommended food? Grain that is so poison that bugs refuse to eat it?

Food that comes from genetically altered plants is grown from seeds that have been engineered in a laboratory. Examples include corn, soybean, sugar beets, and most recently, alfalfa. These plants are genetically manipulated so that they can tolerate herbicides. Many are programmed to manufacture their own insecticide, such as Bt-toxin. GM corn is resistant to Roundup (also called Roundup Ready) and manufactures Bt-toxin, an insecticide that targets the intestinal tract of specific insects.

I guess it kills the insects, by making them gluten intolerant!

Research at the University of Caen, France, shows in a 2012 animal study that GM corn increases the risk of tumor development, as well as liver and kidney toxicity. (1) A previous review of 19 studies on GM corn confirms its relationship to liver and kidney disease. (2)
Other data shows that insects are not the only ones poisoned by Bt-toxin. More recently, Judy Carman at Flinders University in Bedford Park, Australia, showed that pigs fed a diet high in GM corn and GM soy were more likely to suffer from severe inflammation in the stomach. (3)
The problem with Bt-toxin is that it not only targets the intestinal tract of insects, it also targets the intestinal tracts of other mammals, including humans. In just 24 hours, high concentrations of Bt-toxin can disrupt the cell membrane, causing fluids to leak.

GMO use is restricted in over 60 countries. Varying from an outright ban on GMO use, to retail labeling, intended to promote use of non-GMO products. The USA is NOT one of these regulating countries!
