Beautiful doors

in #abstractyesterday

Recently, after I went on a photo walk in the fall with an artist group, we had to close our eyes, draw a crayon, and then look for subjects that matched that color.I've talked about this a couple of times in my posts and shared some red photos. But during that walk, it made me realize how important it is to focus on smaller details instead of just taking pictures of wide scenes like sunrises or buildings.

It made me start noticing cool little things around me.

Inspired by that, when I passed the Seamen's Bethel here in New Bedford, I looked at the door and remembered how, when I used to work in New York City, I used to notice interesting doors and did a series called Doors of Distinction.

So on my recent walks, I've been looking for both small details and interesting doors, and that's what I want to share today.
Since I mentioned the Seamen's Bethel, let's start with that.
