Tell California Officials to Stop Funding CAIR's Extremism | Act for America
In California, taxpayer dollars are funding the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA) despite serious concerns about its leadership and associations. Over the last five years, the California Department of Social Services has approved at least $41 million for CAIR-CA, even after it faced a DOJ investigation. CAIR's co-founders were reportedly tied to the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee, described as effectively becoming Hamas infrastructure in the U.S. Meanwhile, through the CA vs Hate initiative—backed by hundreds of millions in public funds—CAIR serves as a contracted partner operating a state hate hotline and portal. CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo, a featured speaker at the May 11 California Civil Rights Summit, has publicly wished cancer on President Biden, called for death to President Trump, glorified the October 7 attacks, and eulogized Ismail Haniyeh.
You can help stop this misuse of public funds by taking action today. Demand that Zahra Billoo be removed as a speaker at the California Civil Rights Summit, that CAIR-California be removed as a contracted partner from CA vs Hate, and that the Legislature and State Auditor conduct a full review of every dollar given to CAIR-CA. Reach out immediately to California state legislators, Attorney General Rob Bonta, Governor Gavin Newsom, and Secretary of State Shirley Weber. Click "Take Action Now" for a prewritten email, call script, and social media posts that will go directly to these officials. Your voice can push for accountability and ensure state hate-fighting programs aren't compromised by groups or leaders with extremist ties.
