Hola queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad, hoy les hablaré sobre un animal que se puede camuflar muy bien entre la maleza, esto le sirve como ventaja para no ser la presa sino el depredador.

Les hablo del saltamontes o tara, las podemos encontrar en varios paises de América, y asia, algunos son considerados plagas porque dañan cultivos.

En el llano venezolano se encuentran pero no en cantidades exageradas, este lo encontré en una planta de hojas llamativas.

Debo decir que otros depredadores no lo van a detectar fácilmente, y así es la vida en la naturaleza donde el mas fuerte e inteligente sobrevive.

Algo que si me gusto es la forma de quedarse quieto y las fotografías quedaron muy bien, algunos simplemente no lo hacen y se van despavoridos.

Hello, dear friends of this wonderful community. Today, I’m going to talk about an animal that camouflages itself remarkably well amidst the undergrowth—an advantage that allows it to act as the predator rather than the prey.

I am referring to the grasshopper; they can be found in various countries across the Americas and Asia, and some are considered pests because they damage crops.

They are found in the Venezuelan plains, though not in overwhelming numbers; I spotted this particular one on a plant with striking foliage.

It is worth noting that other predators would not easily detect it—such is life in the wild, where the strongest and smartest survive.

I really appreciate how still it stays, which allowed for some excellent photos; some creatures simply won't do that and instead flee in a panic.

No debemos tocarlos ya que tambien pueden tener unas mandíbulas fuertes y cortarnos con sus afiladas pinzas, asi que es mejor apreciarlos desde lejos.

De pequeña si los tomaba y sus patas me incaban debido a que tienen pequeñas espinas, ahora tengo mas cuidado.

Ellos se pueden alimentar de hojas, otros insectos y muchas cosas mas que están a su paso, un grillo es la presa ideal para el.

We shouldn't touch them, as they can have powerful jaws and cut us with their sharp pincers; it is best to admire them from a distance.

When I was little, I used to pick them up, and their legs would prick me because of the tiny spines; now, I am more careful.

They feed on leaves, other insects, and many other things they come across; a cricket is their ideal prey.
