Stripped

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Today’s artwork is highly inspired by one of my favorite artists kelogsloops whose work I have been admiring for a long time. I am really enjoying using a single color for portraits and adding shadows layer by layer. It has been such a relaxing exercise for me!

I am not too sure about the pink here but the masking tape worked quite well given the paper quality 😅 What I love most about kelogs art pieces is the play of positive and negative spaces . The balance between the subject and the background is always done so well in his illustrations and makes me want to learn and try something of my own 🙂

This looks like a watercolor art. That background makes the work look as though it is real.
