Introduction

If you have ever looked at my bio info, you probably noticed that I design websites for businesses using Wordpress. That's one of the things I do in addition to blogging, crypto, digital marketing, drop-shipping and part-time teaching.

You will also notice if you follow my blog, that I have not written for two days now. That's bad for someone that writes four articles each day. Well I decided to update you on what took 3 days away from my time. I run a small firm (RyteCliq Technologies) which is the vehicle for my IT business. So I decided to design a brand new website for it. I started work 3 days ago and its done - almost done, remaining proofreading and setting up the buttons on my pricing page. I want to officially launch a campaign starting August 2019 to put 1000 businesses online before year end by making a website for them. 1000? that's insane! You're probably right. But for a person like me, I don't believe that nothing is impossible. And when I set high goals, it pushes me to work harder and come out of my comfort zone. But why launch this campaign? For at least two reasons:

1. Many businesses in my area are still offline: Yes, right across my office and beyond, I can count a number of businesses that could benefit from an online presence. Many of them are startups that are working on tight budgets. Others have not come to terms with how a website could boost their business. So I with my team, try to make them understand how a website can even help them get more customers and sell more too.

2. Web designing companies still charge high fees: Yes, this is a big reason for many small businesses working on tight budgets. They could not afford the high cost of designing a website. Am not talking about resource intensive websites like portals, or blockchain websites. I am talking about a simple information website for a business. Some companies charge from as high as $200. That's big money for someone setting up a small business with a small capital. So thanks to cloud hosting, I decided to lower the entry requirements. Any small businesses could have a website starting from $29. This covers domain registration and web hosting for 1 year. Other features are available for each plan. The above two reasons propeled me to launch this project. Officially, the project starts August 1, 2019. But I have already spoken to some of my friends and they agreed to put their business online - Yes I have done 2 sites out of the 1000. That's progress, isn't it?
